via emailWhen I first started doing this project, I wasn’t sure how personal I would end up making it. I didn’t know how much of me I wanted “out there”. But I’m finding as I shoot every week, I NEED this to be personal. I shoot from the heart. I love capturing moments, emotions, those little pieces of time that are gone before you even realize they were there.
This week’s photo is one of my all-time favorites.
It is not technically perfect, in any way–in fact, it’s quite imperfect. But the story it tells, is perfect.
This is an image of my daughter, with my parents. She’s turning one next month. She had a rough start in this world, and to see her, playing with her grandparents almost a year later brings me such joy. She’s never been what people call an “easy baby”. But she is coming into her own these days, and couldn’t be more amazing.
(My mom will probably kill me for posting a photo of her in her slippers, haha!)
Oh Megan, tears in my eyes again. I am so happy you are capturing these everyday moments. Lila will treasure these one day. It is a beautiful shot.
