via emailLast month I had the privilege of second shooting a wedding with Mariah, of Mariah Gale Photography. I’ve looked up to Mariah ever since I got started in photography–her talent is truly wonderful. It’s an honor to call her a friend and (secretly) a mentor (ha, Mariah, now you know!).
We took a short drive out to northwestern Connecticut, to capture Molly & PJ’s day. I’m still not sure how we managed to luck out with the weather–I bet it had something to do with the luck of the Irish. It POURED, and I mean poured, the entire way out to the wedding. It poured, rained, showered, and sprinkled, on and off, right up until the ceremony was about to start.
Then, and only then, did the skies clear. We stole Molly & PJ following the ceremony, and went off to do some outdoor couple portraits of them. We came back, and did the formals portraits with their families and bridal party, and right as the reception was about to begin, the rains started up again. Not kidding. How we managed to time those perfect two hours is beyond me.
