3|52: Cooperation

January 21, 2011

Today's shot doesn't say much about us being "out and about", but we were. We ran over to a nearby park (not the closest one, but a prettier one), because this weather is making my project a little tough! Lila doesn't really like the snow–she likes talking about it, and likes looking at it, but she thinks it's "messy messy!" when it gets on her, and wants to go inside. She also doesn't really like her boots that much, they're heavy and clunky, and she'd rather be barefoot (my little hippie daughter, I love it). We keep getting snowstorms on days we would have playdates, so we are home much more than I'd like. A cooped up almost-two-year-old is NOT the most fun way to spend the day, let me tell you.

So anyway! We went to the park, and Lila COOPERATED with me. I'm almost afraid to say anything about it, for fear of jinxing it.

But she was willing to take pictures, and she even looked at me. I was floored. And loved all 5 minutes of it. :) So here is one from our little outing (before we went to the toy store to stock up for tomorrow's snowstorm!). (One little note: I didn't do anything to her eyes in editing–if you look closely, you can see the snowbanks lining the walkway on each side–snow is a fabulous light reflector. You can also see my silhouette!)

I just had to get this maternity session from November posted today! I'm actually going out later on to meet the newest member of their family and take newborn photos, so I wanted to make sure I shared these first. I'm keeping the baby's gender a secret until I post a sneak peek from the newborn session! I know, I'm mean. :)

I met up with A & D in November at their home in Millis, MA, for maternity photos of A. We caught some of the last flecks of golden sunshine that day, and I have to say, they both braved some chilly weather–though you'd never know it from the photos!

It turns out D and I both went to the same college, so we had fun reminiscing during the session. The nursery they created for the baby is just beautiful too, perfect for their new little one.

Below are just a few of my favorites from the afternoon–stay tuned for newborn photos coming soon! Thank you both for having me over, and for braving 40 degree weather and soggy grounds for photos! You're wonderful.
