I met this adorable family at the Tower Hill Botanic Gardens in Boylston MA for a sunset family session. The weather was perfect (warm, for October!), and the Gardens were just beautiful. I’d never been to Tower Hill before, and I can not wait to go back! Here are just a few favorites from that evening.

I LOVE that people come back every year to do new photos. It’s wonderful to catch up with families, and see how the kids have grown. (I also feel like I’ve said this before on here, so forgive me if I sound like a broken record!)

The day of our session was another one of those gloomy days we had so many of last fall – chilly, drizzly, soaking wet ground, and what we call “pea soup light” – flat, gray, and dull. We were determined to make it work for us, and the kids (cousins, I love how close they are!) did a fabulous job! Below are just a few of my favorites.

I met up with this wonderful family down in Marshfield, MA for an early morning session on Rexhame Beach. The light was so beautiful, it has had me wishing we lived closer to the beach ever since!

Who, in all fairness, is my first favorite. :) ). I took his newborn photos last October, and he slept – and I mean really SLEPT – for over 3 hours for me.

He always gives me the biggest smiles when I see him, and he loves to cuddle. He’s just the sweetest boy! I took these last month, so he’s about 9 months here–still smiling away, and making my job super easy.

It’s been such a busy summer! I had the chance to head down to the Cape for a couple of days this week with her, so we could visit her grandparents (my parents). I rarely get to shoot at the beach, so I HAD to bring my camera to take a few photos. I only brought one lens (my 24-70, for those wondering) – I was traveling alone with her, and I didn’t want to weigh down our bags any more than absolutely necessary! Below are some of my faves, all taken with the 24-70. I also tried some new processing, lighter and brighter than my normal style–you’ll have to let me know what you think. :)

I can’t believe that summer is already almost over!

I’m really looking forward to fall (my favorite season), but I’m so glad I had the chance to show Lila the beach, and take these photos, before it turns into sweater weather. Enjoy the rest of these lazy summer days!

We decided to meet at Capron Park in Attleboro, because it was midway for both of us. Little did I realize just how much there was to do there! Aside from their beautiful lawns and flower gardens, there is a giant playground for the kids, and a ZOO, complete with a splash pad. Talk about fun. (And distracting, ha!) We managed to get a few of the two little ones before their desire to play at the playground overcame them, and then we just went with it. You all know I love candids more anyway! :)

I went to Melrose to meet up with one of my favorite families to take some photos of B, and just so happened to be there on his birthday! With the wet and unpredictable weather we’ve been having this spring, mom and I jumped at moving their session to a date that was just “mostly cloudy”, instead of “rain showers”, which is pretty much how every other day this month has been. :)
