Remember this little one? She’s a big sister now! I recently went back to the home of some of my favorite clients ever, to meet their new little man, and get some photos of him. C is still the same ham she was last year, just with longer hair and more words. She’s a great big sister to new baby B, who is fitting right in with his wonderful family.

I just had to get a few of C too, how could I resist this face??

B was starting to get a little tuckered out, but we snapped a couple of quick shots with his sister, mom, and grandma. It was so great seeing 4 generations of their family together!

B finally gave in, and passed right out on the couch outside–how I wish my daughter would do that!

We did manage to sneak one last shot in–I think it says it all.

W family, it was so great to see you guys, congratulations again on B, he is precious!

A Romantic (Rainy) Irish Wedding

Last month I had the privilege of second shooting a wedding with Mariah, of Mariah Gale Photography. I’ve looked up to Mariah ever since I got started in photography–her talent is truly wonderful. It’s an honor to call her a friend and (secretly) a mentor (ha, Mariah, now you know!).

We took a short drive out to northwestern Connecticut, to capture Molly & PJ’s day. I’m still not sure how we managed to luck out with the weather–I bet it had something to do with the luck of the Irish. It POURED, and I mean poured, the entire way out to the wedding. It poured, rained, showered, and sprinkled, on and off, right up until the ceremony was about to start.

Then, and only then, did the skies clear. We stole Molly & PJ following the ceremony, and went off to do some outdoor couple portraits of them. We came back, and did the formals portraits with their families and bridal party, and right as the reception was about to begin, the rains started up again. Not kidding. How we managed to time those perfect two hours is beyond me.

Remember this peanut?

Well, she is one now! And still such a laid-back kiddo (well, except for napping…). It just so happened that this year, I was on vacation with my family on Cape Cod the same week they were! We just HAD to schedule L’s one year pics on the beach. Little did we realize that it would be over 90 degrees, 100% humidity, AND no breeze–this never happens on the Cape! L’s mom & dad are saints for coming to meet me under these circumstances.

(Aren’t her dresses the cutest!! Mom is a big fan of Etsy, like I am. She has great taste!)

Happy First Birthday, L! (Who can guess where this last shot was taken? It was most definitely not on the beach. )

I met up with M and her mom a couple of weeks ago to do some headshots for her upcoming trip to FL–yes, the same trip that this future superstar was taking!

M is an accomplished singer, and wants to get into singing and acting. I wasn’t able to convince her to sing for me this time, but you can bet I’m going to be practicing my pleading, so she will next time I see her!

And you know I love to end my posts with my faves.

Take another look at that face. You’re going to be seeing it on the big screen someday.
I met up with K and her family last weekend to take some quick head shots for an upcoming trip she’s making to Orlando FL to meet with a lot of agents/scouts–you know, those people that help you become a star. Elite Models already have their eye on her. Let’s face it, K is driven, and she’s going places.

I am SO excited to see what’s in store for K! If you aren’t a fan on FB, you’ll have missed the comment that made my whole week. K’s mom wrote this:
“…she said she had so much fun, she wants you to be her forever photographer!!”

Talk about a compliment! You better believe I am in for that.
