I met this adorable family at the Tower Hill Botanic Gardens in Boylston MA for a sunset family session. The weather was perfect (warm, for October!), and the Gardens were just beautiful. I’d never been to Tower Hill before, and I can not wait to go back! Here are just a few favorites from that evening.

I LOVE that people come back every year to do new photos. It’s wonderful to catch up with families, and see how the kids have grown. (I also feel like I’ve said this before on here, so forgive me if I sound like a broken record!)

The day of our session was another one of those gloomy days we had so many of last fall – chilly, drizzly, soaking wet ground, and what we call “pea soup light” – flat, gray, and dull. We were determined to make it work for us, and the kids (cousins, I love how close they are!) did a fabulous job! Below are just a few of my favorites.

We decided to meet at Tougas Family Farm, a local apple orchard in Northboro MA. We were on a mission to get their session in on a non-rainy day ( remember last fall

? And all that rain??), and before I had Kellan, so we ended up at the orchard on one of the busiest and hottest days (80s in October!) last fall. And mom was determined to get photos in the adorable initial sweaters you’ll see below – I love them! We only had them wear the sweaters for a few minutes because it was so warm out. The boys loved the orchard, I think they each ate about 4 apples while we were shooting!

We went to my favorite spot in the tall trees, I couldn’t resist. I think the boys loved it too, because we got to go on a little nature hike. :) I didn’t realize just how much the rain this summer and fall had flooded the beachy areas there, so we skipped them – I can’t have some of my favorite people ending up in the reservoir! Who, in all fairness, is my first favorite. :) ). I took his newborn photos last October, and he slept – and I mean really SLEPT – for over 3 hours for me.

He always gives me the biggest smiles when I see him, and he loves to cuddle. He’s just the sweetest boy! I took these last month, so he’s about 9 months here–still smiling away, and making my job super easy.
