Many were repeat clients, and were very at ease with me because they already knew me, but even the “first-timers” did a fantastic job being little models for the day. I always love my kids sessions, and leave them wondering how I lucked out by getting into this line of work.

We went to my favorite spot in the tall trees, I couldn’t resist. I think the boys loved it too, because we got to go on a little nature hike. :) I didn’t realize just how much the rain this summer and fall had flooded the beachy areas there, so we skipped them – I can’t have some of my favorite people ending up in the reservoir! Below are just a few of my faves from the afternoon.

These girls have known me my entire life. They KNOW know me. I have realized how rare this is to have friendships like this, and I truly treasure it. We all have children of our own now, and one of my favorite things in the world is watching our kids play together. It’s so crazy to see how far we’ve come.

With the exception of one of “the girls”, they ALL have BOYS. Between us, we have 11 kids. And 8 of them are boys. My daughter loves whenever we get to hang out with any of them, she’s such a little tomboy. She’s going to have her pick of boyfriends down the road (when she’s like 30 ;) )!

I was home again a few weekends ago, and loved seeing everyone again. I met up with this family again to do some photos for them, including some of their new baby brother! See? ANOTHER BOY! Below are just a few favorites from the morning.

Sure, I may be picking pine needles and grass out of my shirt (even down my BACK) for days, but I get cute shots like these too.

It is beautiful out there any time of year (well, except maybe from January-March…), and we were coming up on the end of peak foliage season, so I wanted to go out for a few days to relax and enjoy it.

We visited the ‘rents, and I was lucky enough to meet up with my longest-known friend (almost wrote “oldest”, but realized how that sounded!), and her amazing family, to get some updated family photos. Mom and I have known each other since we were a few months old, and I still remember the days of sleeping over her house (ask her about how I’d wake up super early to read all of her Babysitter’s Club books, haha), and her teaching me how to curl my bangs.

And now we’re both moms with families of our own! Although, with her adorable twin boys, I have a feeling it’s going to be more about sports and trucks than Babysitter’s Club and hair in her house. :)

I’ve been photographing these little guys since they were months old, and now they’re TWO. Time flies!! They are the most energetic boys, they loved running all over their yard, having tickle fights with mom, being tossed in the air by dad, and dancing to “ashes, ashes, they all fall DOWN!”.

We also ran up to the nearby apple orchard for some quick photos at the end, make sure you scroll to the bottom of this post to see the fabulous Berkshire County foliage!
