Weddings! I love photographing weddings. Yes, they’re a TON of work (more than you’re even thinking). The hours are long, things change from minute to minute, and you are in charge of something pretty darn important – capturing once in a lifetime moments for two people who are entrusting you to tell their story. Accurately, beautifully, and gracefully.
It’s SO worth it. I might be that photographer who gets a little tear right before one of “my” brides walks down the aisle. Who is wiping “dust” from her eyes during the toasts, helping with the bustle, wrangling groomsmen who are in the bar next door watching the game. (Ok, maybe not that last one…yet. That’s a memory from my own wedding, ha!) I love every single minute of the weddings I’ve done, and I hate leaving at the end of the night.
I have to give a special shout-out-slash-thank-you to my amazing and wonderful partner Sarah Phillips of Sarah Phillips Photography too. Sarah & I shoot all of our weddings together, and I can’t imagine not having her by my side. She’s the louder one of the two of us, and fabulous at keeping the groomsmen on track. 😉 And she can read my mind – it doesn’t get much better than that.
Below are just a few of my favorites from this year. I still have two weddings to blog from the fall, so some of the bottom images will be new to many of you.To all of my 2012 brides & grooms – thank you. For trusting me with your days, and allowing me to be a part of something so special in your lives. I hope you’ll stay in touch!
