In 2010 I decided to do a personal photography project in addition to my client work. I chose a rather easy subject (our daughter Lila), but decided to do the whole thing in black & white only. I’ve learned a lot from this project, and I love it! This may sound weird, but I now look for photo compositions that I think will specifically work best in black & white–not just for this project, but in all of my work. Below are just some of my favorites from my project this year.
Have a wonderful 2011, Happy New Year!!
Happy New Year!!! I adore Lila at the window both with her hand on her cheek and the one taken outside. Perhaps that should be next years project – “Lila at the window”!! xo
i was just going to say exactly what meg wrote – the outside one is always a fave, but the hand one is precious (and somehow never saw it?). i love them all!
I have never enjoyed a 52 week project as much as I have enjoyed this one (except for my own a few years back LOL). Love the b&w and it was a joy to watch L throughout the year. You have inspired me to do one of my kids in b&w this year. 🙂
omgoodness. these are soooo fabulous and inspiring! love your conversions 🙂 lila is such a doll!
how did i miss this post?! i'm so inspired by you and this project. i always have projects of my own & never follow through. thank you for being so amazing, you're enough for both of us!! XOXO
