As the old saying goes, there’s a first time for everything.
This week’s photo is a “first” for Lila. I’m letting you all in on a (not so) little secret here–I’m a little OCD. I don’t like messes, I don’t like getting dirty, I am just a touch “Monica Geller”. Lila rarely has access to truly messy stuff: paints, play-doh, moon sand, regular sand, glitter, all things that make me twitch and have nightmares. Thankfully, I (we) have fabulous friends who not only know this, but are MORE than helpful in assisting me getting over myself. I love them.
So here is Lila painting at playgroup this week. With (washable) real paint, not Color Wonder paint. It was dripping all over the place, and she “painted” more water onto the papers than she did actual paint, but she loved every second of it. Believe it or not, so did I. 🙂
Like!
I heart her hair. You can truly see the red in this picture and I just want to squeeze her. I love that she is sooo sassy and her mama is not sooooo sassy. I love "watching" her mama deal with the sassyiness!!
Ridiculously cute. 🙂
She is so incredibly cute! I'm a "Monica" too much to my childrens disappointment.
OMG look at how much fun she is having!
My SIL is Monica Gellar. Me, I am the opposite. One year, I let my kids paint on the windows of our patio doors. It was hellish to wipe off but just the fact that they could tell their friends about it made it worth it!
LOVE!!! Good job, Monica! Never go for the Moon Sand though – it'll set your progress waaaaayyyyy back. It's the devil.
So so cute! Its so hard for me to let my kids do stuff like this. They love it, but I am too uptight too and hate cleaning up all the mess. It would be a good resolution to LET GO and LIVE a little.
I could have written this post! I get called "Monica" all the time and my kids have never owned play-doh and don't even know what moon sand is! So glad I'm not alone. But the joy on her little face sure makes me reconsider…… naahh… my kids are fine with their outdoor messes in the mud and playing at the creek!
