Connected

This session was one of my favorites from last year. We actually shot the session the day before Hurricane Sandy was due to come into town. I was hoping the rain would hold off, as it had for my earlier session, but no such luck. Rain and winds welcomed me as I opened my car door and walked/was pushed by the wind down to their home. We did most of their session inside, in their living room and bedrooms, and went outside at the end since the rain had stopped for a few minutes.

What draws me to sessions like this are how real and genuine they are. It was this beautiful mom, her amazing daughter, and their home. Everything about these images is personal to them. From the decor in their home to the much-loved first toy who made a brief appearance. Their strong connection was inspiring to me, it made everything so relaxed and fun. Below are just a few of my favorites from their home session in Cambridge.

R & L, I absolutely loved meeting you both. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful family, and having me in your home! I hope to see you again soon!
