I love these kids. I’ve known them since the twins were newborns, and getting to see them every year is something I always look forward to. They always find amazing locations for us to use for their sessions, this one being no different. We were given permission to use this newly restored barn owned by a friend of theirs, and they also brought the vintage antique truck – it belongs to their grandfather. I love when session “props” hold personal meaning for my clients, it’s a way to truly customize a session and make it completely unique.
Now, shooting a session with four kids under age 7, plus their fully-grown-yet-still-a-puppy 1 year old golden retriever takes some planning and quick thinking. I have a pretty good “set list” for them by now, and know about how long I have before we need to take breaks. Since these kids have known me for 6 years (although they only see me once a year), they know what to expect during our sessions, and were so great to work with. This is one of my favorite sessions from last year, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
