I’ve been procrastinating writing this blog post because I don’t have the words needed to do these two justice. I wish I was more eloquent, and knew exactly what to say here to convey the amazingness that is Kerri and Andrew. Instead, you’re stuck with me, so read on. 🙂
Quick history note: Kerri is my cousin. We’ve been close since she was born, same with her brother and sister. Eight year old me tried to carry her toddler self all over creation while my aunt constantly told me to put her down, that Kerri couldn’t learn to walk if I wouldn’t let her walk anywhere. I wanted to go find an old photo of the two of us together, but if I do that, then you’ll be waiting another year for me to post these wedding photos.
Kerri and Andrew were married last September in rural Vermont, where they live and where Andrew grew up. My family also has ties to this small town, going back 3 or 4 generations now I think. I hadn’t been up there in many years, but it felt so welcoming and familiar the moment I arrived. Their rehearsal dinner was held at the same family owned restaurant I’d visited many, many times with my grandparents when I was younger, on Sundays for pancakes after church. The whole weekend was this crazy mix of reminiscing and celebrating new milestones, and I couldn’t have been happier or more honored to be there for all of it.
I’m going to stop talking now, and let the photos speak for themselves. Oh, but first – when Kerri and Andrew asked me to photograph their wedding, I concocted a plan to have a very dear friend of mine come out to help me shoot it. We live across the country from each other, and only get to hang out once or twice a year, so I knew this would be perfect if she was available. I was thrilled that it worked out! Meg is like my West Coast twin, similar in SO many ways (yet completely opposite in appearance, ha). Meg is an amazing photographer and one of my most favorite people, and many of the images below are ones she took. Meg, you’re the best.
K&A, I love you both, thank you again for having Meg and I around all weekend! Andrew, I promise, no more photos for a while now. 😉
Alrighty, let’s do this!
