Oh, this senior session. The one I’ve looked back on hundreds of times, and thought “I can’t WAIT to blog this, I have to get to it asap”. And then, life. Now it’s May. And one of my favorite sessions ever has been stuck on my computer since last August. Granted, we sold/bought homes like the week after I shot this, but still. No excuse. Now that it’s springtime, and sweet Julia is about to graduate, I HAVE to share these. I can’t wait for you to see them. Julia is just a beautiful person. She’s lovely. She carries on long conversations with old moms of young kids when she doesn’t have to, and humors me and all of my lame jokes and questions about high school. She carries herself with such grace, and there is no way I was even a tenth as mature as she is when I was in high school.
When we were discussing her session initially, I told Julia I wanted to go somewhere that was important to her for photos. We decided on a local spot that she (and I, but not at the same time) has been to a million times. Forest, water, cool fallen trees to balance on – I love it here. She also showed me some of the amazing places I hadn’t ventured to yet, and yes, I ran from a lot of flying bugs. She’s tougher than I am too. We also decided sunset would be perfect, and we headed to another new favorite spot of mine to capture the sunset. The sun decided to hide behind the clouds, but the soft, diffused light was just as beautiful with all of the summer flowers.
Below are just some of my favorites from Julia’s senior session, I hope you enjoy them. And Julia, you’re one of a kind. Thank you for being wonderful!
