It’s October, so you know what that means – fall photo session time! You’ll see plenty of my annual favorite clients on here for the next few posts. This family has been with me for quite some time now. They put their faith in me almost 9 years ago, when I photographed their wedding reception. Then again when their oldest was born – her newborn images are some of my favorites, even to this day. Basically I make up reasons to need to see them each year, because now I am attached.
Given that we have done so many sessions together at this point, we weren’t sure where we wanted to go for these fall photos. We were also keeping one eye on the weather radar, as there were reports of rain showers popping up this afternoon. We chose to meet at Ward Reservation, a beautiful hiking spot. I had never been there before, and was very excited once I arrived! There are so many beautiful and scenic spots on our hike, we stayed until it actually got dark out.
The mom of this family has amazing personal taste. I’ve even bothered her with real life questions about home decor, because we have a similar style and I basically want to copy their entire house. So I knew going in to our session that her girls would have some stylish and fun outfits. I was right! So much so that I bought my daughter one of the dresses from this shoot (the pink one).
Not only did the rain hold off for our session, the sun peeked out through the haze at one point, and I about fell over with how pretty the light was. As I drove home through the predicted rain showers, I realized that we definitely had Mother Nature on our side. Below are a few favorites from our fall photo session!
