Allison & Scott were married on their family farm in Harvard, MA, in September. When I met them last winter to talk about their wedding, I knew this was going to be a great wedding. Usually my client meetings are maybe an hour – we stayed chatting for about two hours! I left our meeting pretty excited at some of the details we’d talked about – I knew this was going to be a beautiful wedding. And I was right! Every time I turned around, I saw another great detail that fit in with their day and their personalities so well. They thought of everything!
This was honestly one of THE most fun weddings I’ve ever attended, as a photographer or a guest. I know! Alli & Scott are just wonderful people, and downright hilarious. I think I just laughed from start to finish, the entire time we were there. (Quick aside – who is “we”? It’s my fabulous partner Sarah of Sarah Phillips Photography, of course. We just finished our third year of shooting weddings together, and are super excited to share what we have in store for 2013!)
Below are just a few of my favorites from their day. I might even need to do a Part Two of their wedding, because I feel like I’ve left out so many fun things (their wedding box, the excavator scoop thing of wine, the fireworks, I could go on and on!).
Have I mentioned the thunderstorms yet? Just keep an eye on the sky, we’ll get to those later. This ceremony location was just beautiful! This is their backyard.
They created a great little lounge space out of hay bales, blankets and comfy pillows – love this!
An amazing Raw Bar during the cocktail hour – it took all my willpower not to dive into this!
Capers Catering out of Stoneham, MA did an AMAZING job with the food. They were also incredibly wonderful to work with, I hope our paths cross again in the future! 
While the cocktail hour was happening, Sarah & I went up the hill with Scott & Alli for a some portraits of just the two of them. They wanted to do some by one of their old heirloom tractors…and when I saw their pumpkin patch, well we had to stop there too!
We made it back to the barn for dinner…barely. Remember those thunderstorms I was talking about?
Which prompted the kids who were there to um…embrace the rain? 🙂
I was a little obsessed with photographing the barn and the twinkle lights they hung inside.
The younger girls from the photos above sang “What Makes You Beautiful” to Alli – this was the sweetest thing! And it kind of made Alli tear up a bit. (Sorry, Alli! I had to tell this story!)
Scott & Allison, your wedding was just wonderful, and I’m honored to have been there to photograph it. It was the perfect day – full of love, laughter (LOTS of laughter!), and happiness. Thank you so much for being the gracious, kind and hilarious people you are. I wish you all the best!
