This little munchkin turns one this week, and I can’t even believe it. One! Already! I say the same about my own kids, so I don’t know why I’m surprised every time I turn around and they’re older. My buddy K here unfortunately lives many thousands of miles away from me, so I don’t get to see her or her parents nearly as much as I’d like. Not yet anyway. I’m still working on my master plan to move to the west coast without anyone around here noticing. I can commute back and forth, yes?
I was lucky enough to get to see K twice last year. When I made my plans to visit this past February, the only thing I planned on/asked for while I was there was to go make some beach photos with K and her parents. I rarely get to even be at the beach, never mind bring a camera there at sunset with some of my favorite people. So we set out about an hour and a half before my little camera app told me sunset would be happening, to see what we could do. I usually do 2 hours before sunset here, but count on less time for little kids and shorter attention spans. Plus, sun setting over the water means crazy beautiful skies once the sun is gone, with still decent ambient light. Below are some of my favorites…it was so difficult narrowing this down. I could have posted all of their beach photos easily. I’m weak for that west coast light!
