Allie and Sam

Allie. Oh, sweet Allie. This little girl is the quietest little thing I’ve ever seen. So quiet, that when she DOES voice her opinion, I get all confused, thinking there is another person in the room. I took Allie’s newborn photos back in June (I KNOW, I’m still behind!), and wanted to share some of my favorites. You may recognize her older sister Sam, who is one of Lila’s best friends. When they’re not scaring each other and screeching, that is. Sam allowed me to take about 30 seconds of photos of her. Which was all I needed to capture… Keep reading

Summer 2012

A quick detour from my session posting today. As summer 2012 comes to a close, I wanted to share some favorite personal images I took over the past couple of months. This summer was among my favorites ever, and it FLEW by. I’m a little sad to see it end, but as many of you know, fall is my favorite season, so I’m somewhat giddy at what’s to come. This is my favorite time of year – windows open at night, the cool air, apple picking, cider doughnuts, football is back, sweaters, etc. I could go on and on! But… Keep reading

Alyssa & Tommy

Alyssa and Tommy were married in June at Mass MoCA – the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. I was thrilled when they asked me to be their wedding photographer, and getting to shoot at such a unique location was just icing on the cake! Mass MoCA is way out in Western Mass in the Berkshires, near where I grew up. (Bonus: seeing friends and family while traveling for work! Yay!) The museum is full of interesting contemporary art exhibits – Alyssa and Tommy were married in front of the Invisible Cities exhibit, and we did some post-ceremony photos in the… Keep reading

Coraline

I met up with this adorable little girl and her parents at their home in Brookline back in June. Coraline was SO sweet and such a cooperative model! Her room was awesome too – make sure you check out the mural her aunt drew for her below. This is a large share, I just couldn’t narrow down the photos any more! Coraline and her parents are wonderful, and I had a great morning with them. Here is the mural I was talking about! Such a thoughtful gift for this little girl. I don’t often post product shots around here, and… Keep reading

Six Months

Ok, diving back into blogging! I can’t wait to show you all that I’ve been up to these past few months. First up, this little man! He is growing up SO fast, I feel like we just did his newborn photos last month, not almost 8 months ago. I met this wonderful family at their home in Brighton again for Rory’s six month session. We were met with torrential rains that day, but Rory (and his parents!) were amazing and we made the best of it! And now I just know that his one year photos will be on a… Keep reading

What’s New?

If you’re reading this, you’ll likely see that things look a bit different around here. 🙂 I decided last year that I wanted to give MeganJane Photography a little face-lift. I loved my old logo and brand, but felt that I was moving in a different direction, and wanted something that reflects my style a bit more. I reached out to Renee over at Ribbons of Red, and after many MANY emails, phone calls, and research (if you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll see the zillions of things I pinned for this), I am super excited to show you my… Keep reading

Charlie Annalyn | Kingston MA Newborn Photographer

Oh, this little peanut. She was such a sweetheart for her session! I barely heard a peep out of her the entire time. I went to this lovely family’s home for Miss Charlie’s newborn session – and was able to make some use of her parents’ fabulous taste in decor. Wait till you see the rug in her room. Below are just a few favorites from Charlie’s newborn session. 🙂 How cool is this rug in Charlie’s room?? M & G, thank you so much for having me over for Charlie’s newborn photos! You were so welcoming and amazing, it’s… Keep reading

Ella | MA Children’s Photographer

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I last blogged! I don’t even know where the time went, I have no excuse. I have so many good things to share with you all! I’m going to start with this adorable little girly girl here, Ella. Seventeen month old Ella is our niece (J’s sister’s daughter), and she’s the sweetest little girl. Always in a good mood, and she just wants to RUN. You’ll see from the photos what I mean. 🙂 She loves exploring! Below are just a few of my favorites from our quick session last weekend.

Another Marathon Monday

This really is the best day to live around here. I did a Marathon Monday post 2 years ago, which you can see here. It was scorching hot this year, almost 90 degrees, which is always a concern for the runners. We’ve gone to the Marathon in shorts & t-shirts (like today) and in winter coats and hats (in 2009) – you’ve gotta love the New England weather. Despite the heat, which I think impacted all the little ones in some way or another (Lila sobbed all afternoon that she missed the runners and wanted to go see them again… Keep reading

And Will Makes Four | Boston MA Family Photographer

This beautiful family might look familiar to you (check out my header!). 🙂 I did some family photos for their then-family of three back in November 2010. And now they are a family of four! Their son Will was born in October, and they wanted some updated photos with him, and I was more than happy to see them again. I LOVE catching up with clients, it’s one of my favorite things about my job. Coincidentally, they live pretty much across the street from our old home in South Boston, so it was awesome to get back to the old… Keep reading
