2011 Favorites | Personal

So I’m a day late on this post – things got a little crazy here yesterday, and I simply ran out of time! I think that might be a recurring theme this year, as I figure out how to parent 2 kids at once (seriously – how do you parents all do this?! I need to figure out a way to clone myself). This past year did put us to the test in many ways, so I’m really looking forward to a fabulous 2012. I have a feeling it’s going to be an amazing year! I’d like to extend one… Keep reading

2011 Favorites | Weddings

Weddings are a new love of mine. Many of you have heard me say before that I’d never photograph them. Aside from the obvious pressure of making sure you accurately and artistically capture such an important day in peoples’ lives – one you can’t really ask for a reshoot for at that – with the amount of time involved in each wedding (before, during and after, not just that day), you have to love it to keep doi ng it. And that I do. They’re inspiring, exciting, and so FUN. I mean, we all love a good wedding, right? I… Keep reading

2011 Favorites | Families

I have to say, I love my family clients. I think almost every family in 2011 was a returning client, which I love even more! I love seeing how the kids are growing up, and catching up with mom and dad. I love waiting for those in-between candid moments during sessions, they’ re my absolute favorite. Most of my clients are families, so you’ll probably see a lot of repeat faces from yesterday’s post! (These next two are two of my all-time favorites, I still have to blog this session! From the same session as the two above them.) Tomorrow… Keep reading

2011 Favorites | Children

I had so much fun with all the kids I photographed this year! Many were repeat clients, and were very at ease with me because they already knew me, but even the “first-timers” did a fantastic job being little models for the day. I always love my kids sessions, and leave them wondering how I lucked out by getting into this line of work. Families are on deck for tomorrow, so you’ll be seeing some of these faces again! Thank you to all of my wonderful little friends here, for making 2011 such a fun year for me. 🙂

Happy Everything

I can’t believe it’s already been 7 weeks since Kellan’s arrival (and since my last blog post!). Time sure has flown! I just wanted to say thank you to you all for a wonderful 2011. Without sounding too cliche, I am so grateful every day for having what I think is the best job in the world, and it’s because of you all. Your support and faith in me keep me inspired and loving what I do. I will be blogging all of the sessions from this past fall soon, and I am booking sessions for 2012 now! I’m also… Keep reading

Introducing…

Just a SUPER quick post from me before I get yelled at to go take a nap… 🙂 As I mentioned earlier this year, we were expecting our second baby in early November – and he’s here! Kellan arrived on Friday, 11/4/11, at 10:40pm. He is perfect, and we are slowly settling in to our new family of four at home. As promised, I will start taking sessions again in early 2012. If you are waiting on me for orders, email replies, etc, I will be replying as quickly as I can. Thank you so much for your understanding! Leaving… Keep reading

Leah & Jaeson | Vermont Wedding Photographer

Leah & Jaeson were married in September in a small town in Vermont (I posted their sneak peek here). The sculpture garden where they had the ceremony and reception was quintessential Vermont – rustic, elegant and peaceful. The day couldn’t have been more beautiful, the light was perfect. Their photos have become some of my very favorite that I’ve ever taken – for that reason, I have been putting off posting their wedding. Selfish, I know. But also artist insecurity. Every time I share photos from a session, I get nervous – these aren’t facts and numbers here, they’re someone’s… Keep reading

O Family | Hopkinton MA Family Photographer

You will almost definitely recognize this family, they are regulars around this blog. 🙂 This year for their family photos, they came out my way, and we met up at Hopkinton State Park. We went to my favorite spot in the tall trees, I couldn’t resist. I think the boys loved it too, because we got to go on a little nature hike. 🙂 I didn’t realize just how much the rain this summer and fall had flooded the beachy areas there, so we skipped them – I can’t have some of my favorite people ending up in the reservoir!… Keep reading
