(Catching up!) With another one of her “boys”, at our friend’s house. The girl loves to hold hands with all her friends. 🙂

7 Months | Ashland MA Children’s Photographer

I can’t believe how quickly this little guy grew! He’s already seven months old! And quite possibly, one of the easiest little subjects I’ve ever photographed. All smiles, big brown eyes, and loving the camera. I love it! I just had to share some of these before the weekend hits us, I couldn’t wait. 🙂 TGIF! Someone loves his mommy. 🙂 Then he found Sophie. It was all over at this point, he needed to give his teeth a little workout. These are my faves, as I’m sure you can guess. 🙂

Second haircut ever…and first “candy” (what she calls them for now). 🙂 The first haircut didn’t go as well, hence the photos for this one instead. She was awesome today! Cried when we first went in, but then blew bubbles with me and told me who everyone was on her special cape (Toy Story characters).

I promise, I have some client posts coming soon! These are just faster to get up, and things are crazy busy around here right now. 🙂 On a rare, but *extremely* welcome, warm early spring day last week, Lila and I went to a nearby park to get some fresh air. We borrowed her cousin’s bike, and Lila was in HEAVEN. Her own bike is now on it’s way to us, she is going to be so excited! I can’t wait for it to get here. The image below is one of my favorites from the morning. She had just… Keep reading

The party continues this week. One of Lila’s bffs turned 2 a week after she did, so her mom had a little party for her last week. This is my official shot for my project–I can’t stop laughing at them. They thought they were SO FUNNY, shutting the door to the playroom on us. I do also have to include these, because, well, you’ll see. Lila…being the scream instigator, as usual: And the birthday girl, covered in cupcake, and happy as can be. I love this girl.

9|52 Party Girl

Taken at Lila’s birthday party last weekend. That kiddie gym lighting is NOT fun to shoot in, let me tell you. Overhead florescent lighting creates bags under *everyone’s* eyes. So here is one with Lila pretty much looking up directly at them. 🙂

8|52 Pigtails

Kind of a random shot, but we just started doing pigtails last week for the first time, so I wanted to remember that. 🙂 They’re too tiny to see from the front still (hahaha). Here, she’s looking at that rock on the ground, saying “what’s that, mamadukes?” (yes, that’s what she calls me…my husband started that…) It’s adorable as anything. Love.

Two

I used to keep a blog for my daughter when she was first born (it is still up, but I rarely post to it). We went through a lot initially, and I probably have hinted at it here and there. To make a very long and emotional story short, Lila spent a month in the NICU after she was born not breathing (official diagnosis: hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy). She was a great candidate for the Hypothermia Protocol at Children’s in Boston, thankfully, and did amazingly on it. She saw Early Intervention until this past November, she still sees a cardiologist annually,… Keep reading

Old Friends | Wakefield MA Family Photographer

I went to high school with the mom of this lovely family. When her mom got in touch with me about gifting a session to her daughter for their anniversary, I jumped at the chance to catch up with my old friend. See, I consider myself supremely lucky to grow up where I did. Sure, at the time I took it all for granted, and was the typical whiny teenager. “Mom, there’s nothing to dooo!” “I’m bored!” “I can’t wait to get out of this place!” Looking back these past few years, I realized my good fortune at growing up… Keep reading

7|52 Signs of Spring

I'm probably jinxing us with 6 more snow storms by even using that title, but I just can' t help i t. It's been a LONG winter. It's almost 60 degrees out today, if not warmer. The heat is off. The windows are open. The sun is shining, and oh boy, does it feel amazing. The playgroup girls (minus one, who is sick, poor thing!) came over here this morning, and we went splash in some puddles created by the melting snow. Lila was SOAKED, and having the time of her life. (And yes, I stuffed her into a too-small… Keep reading
