We go to MyGym every week year round, but it is especially loved in the winter time, when the park swings are covered in snow and ice, and there are only narrow walkways to run around on, surrounded by piles and piles of dirty snow. January was a tough month, because of the weekly middle-of-the-week storms, and we kept missing class. Talk about stir-crazy! These are Lila’s girls. You’ve seen them before, you will see them more in the coming weeks, I’m sure. We met them at the gym, and now HAVE to see them at least weekly, if not… Keep reading

Nieces | Boston MA Newborn Photographer
Both my sister and my sister-in-law welcomed baby girls into their families just before the holidays–it seems girls run in our families! I took newborn photos for both of them–and they both gave me quite a run for my money. Neither of them wanted to sleep for me–and trust me, we waited them out for hours. I think they knew I was their awesome aunt, and just wanted to hang out instead. 🙂 I thought I'd share a few from their sessions, before they're both driving and heading off to college. First up, my sister's (2nd) daughter, baby C. This… Keep reading
5|52 Snowed In Forever
I knew the first part of this project was going to be challenging, since we were starting in the wintertime–we’re not out as much now as we are once it gets nicer out. We’re out even less lately, because we’ve been buried with over 70 inches of snow this winter so far. Seventy. Inches. And it’s only February 5th. Average snowfall for the *entire* winter here is around 42 inches. We could get snow into April, so there’s no telling when it will end! I’ve been tracking the snow on this hilarious and wonderful Shaq-o-meter. 🙂 As a result, we… Keep reading
4|52: A Little Attitude
Just a small glimpse at the attitude I get from a certain almost-two year old little girl. Taken at playgroup this week, probably the only time we’ll be able to go out, seeing as we’re getting more snow again tonight! Counting the days until spring… 🙂
Boston Public Garden Love | Boston, MA Family Photographer
On this lovely little snow day we're having, I thought I'd share one of my favorite sessions from last fall. I met up with this sweet family in November, at the Boston Public Garden, for their session. They were awesome, braving the chilly weather–you would never know it was in the 40s that day! Mom did a fantastic job with their clothing, and I LOVE how the colors look with the fall colors in the garden. Four year old G was a fabulous model, she had so much energy and the camera clearly loves her. Mom and dad are wonderful… Keep reading
3|52: Cooperation
Today’s shot doesn’t say much about us being “out and about”, but we were. We ran over to a nearby park (not the closest one, but a prettier one), because this weather is making my project a little tough! Lila doesn’t really like the snow–she likes talking about it, and likes looking at it, but she thinks it’s “messy messy!” when it gets on her, and wants to go inside. She also doesn’t really like her boots that much, they’re heavy and clunky, and she’d rather be barefoot (my little hippie daughter, I love it). We keep getting snowstorms on… Keep reading
Loved | Millis, MA Maternity Photographer
I just had to get this maternity session from November posted today! I'm actually going out later on to meet the newest member of their family and take newborn photos, so I wanted to make sure I shared these first. I'm keeping the baby's gender a secret until I post a sneak peek from the newborn session! I know, I'm mean. 🙂 I met up with A & D in November at their home in Millis, MA, for maternity photos of A. We caught some of the last flecks of golden sunshine that day, and I have to say, they… Keep reading
2|52
As the old saying goes, there’s a first time for everything. This week’s photo is a “first” for Lila. I’m letting you all in on a (not so) little secret here–I’m a little OCD. I don’t like messes, I don’t like getting dirty, I am just a touch “Monica Geller”. Lila rarely has access to truly messy stuff: paints, play-doh, moon sand, regular sand, glitter, all things that make me twitch and have nightmares. Thankfully, I (we) have fabulous friends who not only know this, but are MORE than helpful in assisting me getting over myself. I love them. So… Keep reading

(Note: This post is late, and I did sneak in and back-date the 2 posts before this that I never got around to posting over the holidays. 🙂 Please see here and here if you’d like to look at those week’s shots!) Now… I did it!! WOO!! I stuck with this all year, and DID IT. I’m so proud of myself. 🙂 This last image for my 2010 personal project personifies my kiddo. Crazy, hilarious, and always fun to be around. I took her to Disney Princesses on Ice with friends a few days after Christmas, and she LOVED it…. Keep reading
Call Upon This Day | Melrose MA Wedding Photographer
Alrighty, on to blogging the rest of my 2010 sessions! First up, an intimate wedding for two dear friends. They had a very small, private ceremony at the groom's parent's home in Melrose at the end of October, with immediate family only. After the beautiful ceremony, they threw a super fun party for all of their friends and family, to celebrate the event. I was beyond flattered and excited when they asked me to capture the these special moments of the ceremony, as I knew there were only going to be about 10 people there. And I was a little… Keep reading
