I met Maddie and her mom for Maddie’s outdoor senior photos by a local rail trail. I jumped when Maddie mentioned this spot. It was one of those places I always drove by and made a mental note to scout it for photo sessions. It wasn’t until this day that I actually did it though. I drove over there earlier in the day, saw the beauty in person, and knew it would be perfect. YAY for me finally getting over there! We were both thinking of the same spot on the rail trail to meet. There is a pretty light stone path amidst all of the… Keep reading

Julia | Senior Session
Oooh, this is a good one. We’re taking a brief break from my lovely families, just a quick one. I haaaave to share Julia’s session with you before we are too far into fall. Technically, this isn’t a senior session. We did Julia’s senior photos about a year ago, before she started her senior year (blogged here). Over the last year, I’ve come to rely on Julia a little to keep me from being TOO out of touch/getting too old. She, by some miracle humors me, and with a smile on her face. Leaving for college in August, we decided to sneak in one more… Keep reading
M Family | Ashland MA Family Photographer
September through November here in New England is what we all wait for, right? Fall is high tourist season, high activity season, and my busy season for fall photos. There are apples and pumpkins to be picked, leaves to be raked and jumped in, foliage to admire, crisp mornings, a fond peace out to the humidity – these are my months, my friends. I live for this. Last fall, I was able to meet up with one of my lovely family clients for new fall photos. I had last seen them when their little guy was just a few days old… Keep reading
W Family | Ashland MA Family Photographer
More from my fall photo session archives. 🙂 I met up with this adorable family at one of my favorite spots for their session. Our local reservoir gives me both water and woodsy options, so I love taking clients there for the variety. This location can be slightly temperamental; light plays a large role here. But we lucked out this afternoon, and had stellar backlight through the trees for our time. Hazy sunshine makes me so very happy! The sun sets on the early side here, as we’re in a little valley surrounded by hills and trees, so I have… Keep reading
Fall Photo Sessions | Ashland MA Photographer
Fall has arrived! As have my fall photo sessions. Inquiries are flying in these days, and I’d say my fall season (including holiday card sessions) is about half booked at this time. I also suspect due to the super dry summer, leaves will begin to turn even earlier than predicted this year, if at all. If you’re thinking about a session with me, I recommend reaching out soon. My oldest started second grade this week. Time is the worst, right?? Kids grow up so fast! With school starting back up comes my busy season of fall family photos and holiday… Keep reading
Kerri | Ashland MA Maternity Photos
I think everyone here knows this wonderful face by now. She’s been featured on my blog many times, for engagement, wedding, maternity, newborn, and family photos. Just a few, right? This is my cousin Kerri. She doesn’t live as close to me as she once used to, sad to say. When she told me she was coming to Boston this summer and wanted to do some maternity photos, I leapt at the opportunity. The big deal with Kerri is that she is SO great at humoring me. She’s always up for any ideas I have and is a natural in front of… Keep reading
K&K | Jackson NH Wedding
Karianne & Kenny’s Jackson, NH wedding was a weekend to remember, that’s for sure. It totally counts if I get this blogged before their first anniversary, right? Please say yes. Last fall, I made Meg, one of my favorite friends (who also happens to be a super talented photographer – funny how that worked out, ha) fly across the country to photograph this wedding with me. We had photographed Kenny’s sister Kerri’s wedding to Andrew in 2014, so it was only right to have Meg come back for this one. She’s part of the family now! We road tripped up to… Keep reading
Sisters | Relaxed Outdoor Session
You may recognize these two cuties from this relaxed outdoor session. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing them many times over the last few years. (And if I stay on top of blogging, you’ll see them later on this year for their holiday photos too!) It’s still crazy to me how quickly kids grow up – my own included. Little E here (the younger sister) was barely walking at our first session! And I remember bringing one of my daughter’s toys for big sister A to play with during our session (a Sophia the First figurine, if I’m remembering correctly)… Keep reading
Eloise | At Home Newborn Photo Session
Ah, little Eloise. What a sweetheart. I had the pleasure of heading to this wonderful family’s home for Eloise’s newborn photo session. I love meeting families at their homes for newborn sessions, because I know they have everything they may want or need for the baby (or older siblings!). I also like how it gives parents a little more flexibility in being ready for photos when I arrive. Sometimes I’ll head off to the baby’s room with the baby and let the parents finish getting ready. Prepping for photo sessions can be hectic! I know I’m always running behind when… Keep reading
Colette | MA Outdoor Family Photos
You know this family by now, if you’ve been following my blog for any length of time. Their wedding was my first wedding ever, and I’ve since seen them many more times to photograph their family as it grows. We were meeting for this session to commemorate their newest daughter turning one! I’m a fan of outdoor family photos, so we waited until we had a beautiful morning for them. We began their session initially at their home to do some photos in Colette’s room, which you may remember from her newborn or six month photos. (My daughter was watching me… Keep reading
