Finally getting to blog one of my favorite sessions from this fall! The J family met me at Hopkinton State Park back in October for their session. Our session was two-fold, but mom didn’t know it at the time. We were meeting up to take family photos, but we were also on a mission to keep mom away from the house as plans for her surprise birthday party were set into motion. Now, those of you who know me know I can’t keep secrets. I’m terribly bad at it, my face reads like an open book. However, I managed to… Keep reading

Tonight was one of those nights where I didn’t realize I could love having a little girl any more than I already do. My heart is just BURSTING. We got together with some of our favorite friends tonight, for our annual holiday Thanksgiving-slash-Christmas get together. I’ve been friends with these girls since college, and we do this every year. And while things have changed a bit (from late-night debauchery to late afternoon/early dinners so the kids can get to bed at a decent hour), it still feels like home, every time we get together. These are the “Easy Friendships” we… Keep reading
Sarah, Class of 2011 | Natick Senior Photographer
I met up with Sarah and her mom one sunny Sunday morning way back in October. I can’t believe it’s been that long already! Sarah was a total natural in front of the camera, and super fun to work with. I’ve been meaning to share a few favorites from our session, it’s about time I got on that! Sarah, you were fabulous, thank you so much for coming to meet me! It was great to meet you & your mom, I hope the rest of your Senior Year is wonderful and memorable! 🙂

It’s a minor miracle I got this shot. I’ve decided to do an outtakes post from my 52 Weeks Project when all is said and done, and you’ll see. You will see. 🙂 I had to post the color version below it, because I love it just as much, but had to go black & white for the project.
Easy Sunday Morning | Framingham MA Family Photographer
If I’ve ever met another little girl I could call the opposite of mine, it would be this little girl. My daughter is a bit rough and tumble. She loves playing with trains, kicking balls, she’s not exactly delicate. Gracie here loves getting “comfy cozy” with blankets, reading books, and is quick to give up her toys when Lila comes barreling in. We met her & her family through a local gym we go to with the girls, and they (and us!) have become fast friends. You know what they say about opposites! (Mom and I, however, couldn’t be more… Keep reading

Last week’s shot. I still have to take this week’s, I need to get on that tomorrow! This is an outtake from a mini photo session with my parents. You can kind of guess how cooperative the girls were. 🙂 But I still love this shot because it shows how excited Lila is about her new cousin. She always wants to hold her, sit with her, and touch her. It’s adorable. And probably why her older cousin isn’t all that thrilled with her these days, haha. Kids!
Ashland MA Newborn Photographer | Owen: 8 Days Old
Remember this family? Well, they are now officially a family of four! (Five, if we count the dog, Murray.) Baby brother Owen arrived back in the beginning of October (I know, I’m so behind on blogging!), and I went over to take his newborn photos, and some updated family photos also. Little Owen was a peanut when he was born, at 6 pounds, 11 ounces. And he slept like a DREAM for me, for almost 3 hours! I’m hearing he’s not quite so complacent these days, so I’m glad we took these when we did! We took a couple with… Keep reading

Where has my baby gone?? I showed this image to my husband tonight, and he was FLOORED. She’s such a little girl now! It’s insane. In this shot, she’s playing at a water table at the Acton Kids Discovery Museum last week. She’s still completely anti-my camera, so I got ready before I called her name–hence the sweet expression on her face, and not the back of her head. 🙂
A Few Months Later | Melrose Family Photographer
I got to see some of my favorite clients recently, I love being able to catch up with everyone! C & B are both so big, and SO cute. Miss C just turned two back in September (I think–or was it October? Mom, help me out!), and is just a little spitfire. Mr. B is so mellow, he just hung out and watched us all run around. Mom & dad were great sports about going outside for a few shots, it was pretty chilly out! You’d never know it the way C was trying to get her coat off, and… Keep reading

I just realized that this photo looks a lot like last week’s shot, oops! Oh well, I LOVE this, so I’ m keeping it. 🙂 This is Lila with her godmother Kim, one of my most favorite people in the world. She lives in LA, so we don’t see her often. Kim was here for a couple of days this week, because she is in town for a wedding. We all went to a nearby park yesterday before she left so we could take some photos of them together. I might have shed a tear or two when she left,… Keep reading
