I took a trip into Boston recently to meet little Ainsley when she was just 9 days old. She is such a sweetheart! She slept through most of her session, and didn’t make a peep. Here are just a few favorites from our session at her new home with mom & dad. Thank you, R family, for a wonderful morning in the city! Ainsley is just beautiful. 🙂

Oh, my poor neglected blog! I have a ton of new sessions to post for my wonderful clients, and I’m in an editing fog these days. I’m going to attempt to dig myself out of this blogging hole, so you all don’t have to read about summer and fall sessions while the snow is falling outside, and we are all wondering when will be the next time we won’t have to warm up our cars in the morning. First up, my beautiful sister-in-law. She’s expecting her first little one at the end of this month, a baby girl! I have… Keep reading

An outtake from today’s not-so-awesome attempt at getting holiday card photos for our family. Lila was perfectly demonstrating a little thing us photographers like to refer to as Photographer’s Child Syndrome. She is SO OVER my camera. She won’t look at it, or at me if I’m holding it. I even broke out the m&ms in an attempt to bribe her a little–no luck. I’m going to have to try again this week, because I LOVE her little outfit, and I WILL win! 🙂
Sarah & Derek Sneak Peek | Melrose MA Wedding Photographer
Sarah & Derek were married yesterday in a beautiful private backyard ceremony. I promised them I would put up a couple of sneak peeks before they leave tomorrow for Mexico, so here they are! More to come later, stay tuned. The day couldn’t have been more perfect, I will admit, I shed a few tears. 🙂 Have an amazing time in Mexico, you two, love you both!

This has become one of my favorite images I’ve ever taken of Lila. She had no idea I was shooting this, and I was a few feet from her. She’s engrossed in a Halloween card that came for her in the mail today. The card is from a dear friend of ours, who is getting married in two days. TWO DAYS. She has a million things to get organized and finished for Saturday, yet she thought to send Lila a Halloween card, covered in specially bought Sesame Street stickers of the characters in costumes (which were a HUGE hit, by… Keep reading

I don’t often post twice in the same day, but I had to get this one up too–this is last week’s 52 Weeks photo. THIS week is almost over, so I had to get caught up! I have this week’s photo also, but I’ll wait a day or two. 🙂 This might be one of the last shots of just “the girls”–a different set of girls than I wrote about earlier today. This is Lila and her cousin G. G’s mom (my little sister) is due in a couple of weeks with a new baby brother or sister for G!… Keep reading

I consider myself supremely lucky to have stayed close with some of the friends I made a VERY long time ago. These girls have known me my entire life. They KNOW know me. I have realized how rare this is to have friendships like this, and I truly treasure it. We all have children of our own now, and one of my favorite things in the world is watching our kids play together. It’s so crazy to see how far we’ve come. With the exception of one of “the girls”, they ALL have BOYS. Between us, we have 11 kids…. Keep reading

Another shot that I think might leave most people thinking “huh”? 🙂 I took this shot of Lila coloring in the living room, reflected in a photo frame we have hanging in our back hallway. She is obsessed with coloring, to put it mildly. It’ s the fir st thing she asks for when she wakes up, and the last thing she asks for before bed. If she’d just stop eating the crayons and coloring on my windows, coffee table, and couches, she could color 24/7.
