I took pictures of Big Brother S way back when he was 9 weeks old, and so when Little Brother J arrived on Valentine’s Day, it was only fitting that we get some shots of him at the same age as well. I gladly swooped in on this chance to hang out with this wonderful family again, and to create some new memories with them. J was slightly less than impressed with me, and with my camera. Always with the suspicious look on his face, I’m convinced he was just making sure he didn’t have to share his toys with… Keep reading

Just misbehaving at her grandparents’ house! We were there this past weekend visiting, and had a blast. Lila LOVED all the attention and being able to do things that don’t normally fly at home (like hang out on the stairs to the 2nd floor…).

Finally, caught up! Another shot from the marathon on Monday, I love how this came out in black & white.
15|52 Goofball
I’m behind on posting my project, so wanted to get this one, and the next one up asap! This is my typical kid: being a clown. It’s not ALL drama around here, she’s a total goofball, and loves making us laugh.
Marathon Monday
When my husband and I were younger, and living in Boston, one of the best days of the year (second maybe only to St. Paddy’s Day in Southie) was Patriots Day. We would get up “early” (early for a 24 year old, anyway), and head over to the Fenway Park area, to one of the surrounding bars that was open for “breakfast”. We’d end up meeting a bunch of friends, and would all hang out until we had to leave for the Sox game. The game was always a blast–even though Opening Day had come and gone, Patriots Day really… Keep reading
9 More Months | West Roxbury Children’s Photographer
Inevitably, we photographers will run into “the difficult session”. The child who wants nothing to do with us, the outdoor family session scheduled during torrential rains, the newborn who only wants to exercise their new lungs instead of sleep. We never let on during these sessions, and just smile and do what we do — because that’s our job. We figure it out, and we push for every shot. And then you have a session, like this one. Where everything just falls into place, and you wonder why you ever did anything different for work. You walk away encouraged, inspired,… Keep reading

Posting SUPER quickly, I’m on my way out the door for a girls night! Miss Attitude here: We are in so much trouble. 🙂
13|52 New Friends
This week’s image comes from a playdate Lila and I had earlier this week. Lila and I both made new friends, it was awesome! I always love meeting other photographers, and getting to talk shop for a bit. It’s even more fun watching my daughter interact with other kids. Here, the girls were holding onto the gate (we have a brand new walker, and an almost walker here), and “dancing”. We weren’t playing music, they were just feeding off of each other, and being super goofy. It was hilarious to watch, and filled my heart with joy.
Spritzers | New Actions from Michelle Black!
(Taken from my testimonial for a new action set from the wonderful Michelle Black🙂 Lucky me was chosen to test some new actions for the incredibly talented Michelle Black! These actions are, in a word, amazing. They offer something new in the way of actions–a custom blend of cross-processing with vintage-ish flair. I couldn’t stop testing out various images of mine, to see how they’d look with the “Michelle Black Touch”–and I was right, they looked fabulous. Right now, my favorite is the Cream Soda action, but ask me again in a few days, and I may be in love… Keep reading

I know, I’m still behind. 🙂 Here is last week’s photo. I took it on Saturday, when we were at my inlaws’ house for the weekend. This is our daughter with her grandfather. He just LOVES her, and the feeling is mutual. She was such a ham all weekend, and loved seeing her grandparents.
