We are still sick over here, so this will be short and sweet. She’s getting better, slowly but surely. This photo was taken of Lila doing one of her favorite pastimes–throwing herself on the couch. She loves to stand up and look out the window, and then throw herself on the cushions. Never fear–I’m always sitting on the couch with her, barricading her in. This is a good example of why I love wide angle lenses! And of shooting from the hip. Big fan. Happy Weekend!!

Taking Some Risks | Ashland Photographer
**Make sure you scroll past that last photo, there is something some of you will want to read down there!** This post has been a long time coming! I’ve been putting it off for a few reasons: first, to get through busy season, and make sure my clients were all taken care of. Then, the holidays were here, and it was our daughter’s First Christmas, so we had a lot of fun events and things to do for that. Also, I had plans to incorporate a new endeavor with this post, so I wanted to make sure we were good… Keep reading

I can’t believe it’s been a week! I also have other things to post on here, but I’m just getting all caught up. The theme of this week is Sick. Sick, sick, siiiiiiick. The daughter is sick, and the husband is also sick. I’m hoping I’m spared this round, because I’ve already had 2 or 3 colds this fall/winter. Fingers crossed! Here’s the little peanut, lying on the floor in the living room. She’s watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (her favorite), and snuggling with her giraffe lovey/blanket thing, thumb in mouth and all. I absolutely love that I caught this moment,… Keep reading

New project number one, for 2010. 🙂 I have decided to do a more personal project this year, as a new goal to get out and shoot for ME more. I wasn’t sure where I would keep track of this at first–flickr? Facebook? A personal blog? Or here, on my business blog? Ultimately, I decided this would be the perfect place for my new project, for a few reasons. First, and most obvious, it is a photography project, so the photography blog made the most sense. I also thought it would be fun to give all my readers (hi, Cait!)… Keep reading
Young Blue Eyes | Revere Children’s Photographer
I know, you’re probably wondering where I’ve been! Easy answer? Swamped. Longer answer, I’ve been editing, shopping, wrapping, editing, ordering, delivering, shipping, designing, editing, uploading, and decorating. Did I mention editing? What a craaazy time of year! But I think I am finally caught up on most things. We are ready for Christmas this week (yay!), and I am mostly caught up on sessions. My husband got me a fabulous gift for Christmas this year (yes, I’m a surprise ruiner, I know what it is), I will post it once I get it. 🙂 In the meantime, I just had… Keep reading
Sisters | Ashland Children’s Photographer
This family is one of my favorite families in the world. We’ve been friends since before all the girls were born (theirs and ours), and have had so much fun since we moved out near them about 3 years ago. I love watching the girls grow up together, and hope we’ll be living near each other for a long time! Last time we were over, mom and I took on all 4 girls (I had L with me), and attempted a mini-session for some Christmas cards. I’m not going to show the photos they picked for their cards (but I… Keep reading
Back Where It All Begins | Concord Engagement Photographer
Another gorgeous fall day in New England, a perfect setting to this recent engagement session. I met C & B up at the Old North Bridge in Concord, MA, to capture some late afternoon golden light. This area holds a lot of meaning to them, and made for the perfect setting to mark this new chapter in their lives. We dodged the crowds of other people who also thought it was the perfect day for some leaf-peeping and visiting some historic landmarks, and had a blast doing so. I think I laughed through the entire session! This was no surprise… Keep reading
Featured: Style Lush Giveaway
Some amazingly talented friends of mine run a blog called Style Lush. They post daily about all sorts of fun stuff: fashion, kids toys and clothes, food, beauty products, and today, they posted about ME! I was so flattered when Jennie approached me about doing a print giveaway on Style Lush. I’ve been reading the contribu tors individual blogs for quite some time now, and to be featured in their new venture is such an honor. I love this blog already, and have gotten some great ideas and tips from it. I picked out a few of my favorite non-people… Keep reading
Sun-Filled Saturdays | Cambridge Childrens Photographer
You have to love those bright sunshine-filled days in the late fall, where the air is crisp, the sky is saturated in blue, and the leaves are bursting with color. I met little H and his mom at their home in Cambridge last weekend, only a few days before his first birthday, and we totally lucked out with a day just like this. We decided to take full advantage of the gorgeous weather, and headed out to the park near their house to play on the swings and slide. H is such a happy little boy, he loved watching all… Keep reading
Personal: Views from Home
Taking a quick break from all of these gorgeous kiddos and families to bring you a burst of color. 🙂 Foliage is past its peak here, but the last few days have been nothing short of gorgeous. High 60s, low 70s, sunny, dry, just amazing. I wish every day was like this! I realized while crunching through the leaves on our morning walk today, that I never posted these images I took last time I was home at my parents’ house. I was there while the foliage was still in peak season, so my husband, daughter, and her Nana (my… Keep reading
