Senior Year can be such a pivotal point in anyone’s life. Because after graduation, what next? College? A full-time job? Your own apartment? There are so many big decisions to make, and big changes to experience. I took a short road trip to Abington last weekend, to meet up with C and her mom. C is in the middle of her senior year in high school–how old do I feel! It seems almost like yesterday though–soccer games, hanging out with my lifelong friends…and don’ t forge t all those college applications. Although, back when I was a senior, I had… Keep reading

Fall Love | MetroWest Engagement Photographer
My little brother and his fiancee are getting married next summer on the Cape, and they were over a couple of weekends ago to hang out. We don’t get to see each other nearly as much as we want to, with our crazy schedules the way that they are, so it was so awesome to see them. While they were here, I dragged them out into our yard to take a couple quick engagement photos, while we still had the gorgeous fall colors. And luckily, we’ve been lazy about getting the yard cleaned up for the winter, so there were… Keep reading
City Living | East Boston Baby Photographer
Little M here is just about 3 months old, and was such a sweetheart to photograph! He is so laid back and easy-going–quite the opposite of what I’m used to in our house. I’ve known M’s dad since high school (maybe even earlier??), and it was great to see him again! He and his wife own an AMAZING pizza/pasta/panini restaurant in East Boston called Dough. You HAVE to go check it out if you’re in the area. They made me a stromboli to bring home, and omg, it was so, SO good. If we lived closer, I’d probably be in… Keep reading
R O A R
Happy Halloween! I just had to share these photos of our daughter dressed up for her first Halloween. Isn’t she the cutest white tiger ever?? I think so. 🙂 (These were all taken at my sister & brother-in-law’s new place, which is just minutes from us. We’re SO excited they’ll be living close by! And check OUT that light in their daughter’s room, it’s to die for.) The first two in this series totally crack me up–is she a photographer’s kid or what?? I’m already getting dirty looks!
Apples, Leaves, and Love | Pittsfield Family Photographer
My family and I took a trip back to where I grew up over Columbus Day weekend. It is beautiful out there any time of year (well, except maybe from January-March…), and we were coming up on the end of peak foliage season, so I wanted to go out for a few days to relax and enjoy it. We visited the ‘rents, and I was lucky enough to meet up with my longest-known friend (almost wrote “oldest”, but realized how that sounded!), and her amazing family, to get some updated family photos. Mom and I have known each other since… Keep reading
C: Finding Her Balance | Melrose Children’s Photographer
I met up with the W family last weekend to take some photos of their little girl, C. They were gracious enough to reschedule our original session, since Mother Nature has had it in for me this fall, and keeps sending pouring rain for my sessions. Thankfully, our rescheduled day was a gorgeous, beautiful, bright fall day in New England. Take that, Mother Nature! C just turned one recently, and literally had taken her first steps a couple of days before our shoot! By the time I showed up, she was running around like a pro, you’d never guess she… Keep reading
J: One Week | MA Newborn Photographer
Remember this family? Well, their newest addition has arrived! Little J was one week old when the below photos were taken–and he was the most alert newborn! He was awake almost the entire time I was there (over 3 hours!). He was SO sweet, just loved being in mama’s arms, and was taking it all in. His soft little newborn cry was so precious, quite different from the yells I’m hearing in our house lately. 🙂 (Long sneak peek too, I just couldn’t choose!!) (Seriously, check out those eyes!!) (Finally! Sleepy baby.) (I just love this shot, teeny little baby… Keep reading
A Little Magic
Just in time for Halloween! Photographers, do you cringe when a client shows up in a hot pink shirt, because you know the color will just cast onto her face, resulting in much longer editing time to correct it? Do you wish you could make the whole sky just a little bluer, the grass just a little greener? Are you spending extra time making white clothing, teeth, and whites of eyes more white? Are you looking for a quicker way to bump those midtones, add some light, or darken just parts of a photo? If so, you’ll want to keep… Keep reading
Holiday Cards, Part 2
Here they are! I am in love with these cards. I haven’t chosen our family card just yet, but have a feeling it will be one of these. I just can’t narrow it down! Images shown below are front and back of the cards–they are double-sided, not folded cards, just FYI.
Preparing – Holiday Time Already!
Yes, yes, I know, it’s barely October! But we all know how time just flies from here until January, so I am getting the word out now. October is gearing up to be a very busy month, and I wanted to post some samples of the custom holiday cards I’ll be offering my clients this year. This is Part One, the Modern Traditional cards. (Part Two is coming, they’re Modern Eclectic, I LOVE them.) I just couldn’t decide between the two styles, so I decided to offer both. The designs below were created by the fabulous Jamie Schultz. The card… Keep reading
