Oh, this senior session. The one I’ve looked back on hundreds of times, and thought “I can’t WAIT to blog this, I have to get to it asap”. And then, life. Now it’s May. And one of my favorite sessions ever has been stuck on my computer since last August. Granted, we sold/bought homes like the week after I shot this, but still. No excuse. Now that it’s springtime, and sweet Julia is about to graduate, I HAVE to share these. I can’t wait for you to see them. Julia is just a beautiful person. She’s lovely. She carries on… Keep reading

Oliver At Home
I love home newborn sessions. Probably a good thing, seeing as I don’t work in a studio! I just love meeting families at their home, and getting a true sense of their style and lifestyle. It’s also especially important for me with newborn sessions, so mom is as comfortable as possible. I warn my clients that I will probably be moving things around in their home, decluttering, and setting a simple stage for their photos – I promise I put it all back. 🙂 I met this lovely family at their home in Boston last year (I know, I know…. K’s One Year Beach Photos
This little munchkin turns one this week, and I can’t even believe it. One! Already! I say the same about my own kids, so I don’t know why I’m surprised every time I turn around and they’re older. My buddy K here unfortunately lives many thousands of miles away from me, so I don’t get to see her or her parents nearly as much as I’d like. Not yet anyway. I’m still working on my master plan to move to the west coast without anyone around here noticing. I can commute back and forth, yes? I was lucky enough to… Keep reading
At the Park | MA Family Photography
I met up with this sweet family way too long ago to admit to, on an overcast (and super windy!) day for their family photos. The lush green backgrounds in their photos have me so excited for spring and the months ahead. I’m over all of the bare trees and brown grass, let’s go buds and leaves! They had recently added another little boy to their lovely family, and big brother was so attentive and sweet with him. We walked a shorter loop around one of my favorite locations, taking some time out for hide and seek and chase. It’s… Keep reading
Paula & Chris| MA Engagement Photographer
Paula & Chris are getting married later on this year, so we met up last summer for their engagement photo session. We had been going back and forth all day, as there were storms rolling through – you know exactly the kind I’m talking about. Afternoon summer thunderstorms, so typical for New England. Fast moving, but torrential and slightly terrifying to watch come through. The day was beyond hot and muggy, like breathing through a wet towel. The sky was looking ominous off in the distance, and the radar couldn’t keep up. Since they were driving to meet me from… Keep reading
Summer in the Park | Ashland MA Photographer
I have slowly over the years built up a short list of favorite locations to take my clients. I always love their homes most, but meeting at other outdoor locations like parks is also a lot of fun. The kids have a chance to run around, we don’t have to worry about traffic, and I can almost always find new favorite spots. I have a very short list of places near my house that I know better than my own backyard (granted, we’ve only lived here for 6 months, but still). I know where the light is best at any… Keep reading
Colette | MA Home Family Session
A home family session with my clients is one of my favorite things to photograph. I love seeing where my clients live, seeing what their design taste is like, and using their actual home to help create new memories for them. And when I’m heading to a client’s home who I *know* has fab design taste, it’s all the more exciting. I reunited with this favorite family of mine a year ago (gulp) to photograph their younger daughter’s 6 month photos. They probably look familiar to you if you’ve visited my blog before. I’ve photographed them many times over the years, and it’s always a… Keep reading
2015 Favorites | MA Photographer
Ahhh! Ok, so everyone pretend it’s January 1, 2016. I’ve been trying to get my favorites up for forever now! I will be blogging all of these sessions over the winter as well, and I can’t wait to share them all with you. Now that we are settling in to our new home, I’ll finally have more time for blogging (and still unpacking!). Last year was a whirlwind for me, and it’s been a treat to go back through all of your sessions to choose some favorites. I had such a fun year with you all (can I say y’all up… Keep reading
Eve
A little Christmas in August? Why not! I meant to blog this session ages ago, and now that I’ll be seeing this wonderful family again as their little girl turns one in a few months, I wanted to do it asap. ONE! I’ve been the world’s worst blogger this year, it’s official. I tend to have a lot of at-home sessions in the winter. For obvious reasons. Winter is typically my busy time for newborns, but I usually have a few other family sessions too. I don’t find too many people are dying to get outside in below zero temps… Keep reading
Declan
Ok, as promised, blogging more. This sweet little guy’s newborn session was back in March. I met his wonderful family at their home for Declan’s session, and also got to meet their adorable pup Madison. She was very attentive during photos, I think she wanted to be in every shot! She was such a sweet dog, and so good with Declan. I just loved his nautical themed nursery, so I included a couple of photos of that too – love that giant piece of driftwood! Declan loved being snuggled by mom and dad and slept through pretty much the whole… Keep reading
