I know things have been quiet on the blog front – I’m getting back to it, promise! I was the genius who decided to completely move/update her website & blog while selling our current home and buying a new one…at the end of the school year. So some things had to take a little break while I got others under control. (Although don’t access my website on your phone/ipad yet, that part isn’t done at all.) Before my fall explodes with weddings and sessions and moving and school, I wanted to quickly blog some personal photos from the summer. I… Keep reading

Downtown
We snuck this session in last November, just in the nick of time before the holidays. After an “A for effort” attempt at photos on a freezing cold and windy Saturday, we met up again the following day on what was one of the last lovely mornings of 2014, with the most beautiful light. Little J was much happier on Sunday too, without the red nose and freezing little fingers. There is no predicting New England weather, and I’d rather have happy (and warm!) clients, so this was a simple decision for us. This sweet little family are repeat clients of mine,… Keep reading
K&K
I shot engagement photos for these two fabulous people last fall, so we could take advantage of the beautiful fall we were having. Their session was another instance of me testing out a couple of new locations, with great results. I’ve said it before, but I just love finding new spots to shoot around here. Especially when I have such willing and adventurous subjects! I can be a little bit of a chicken when scouting locations – visions of creepy bugs, wild animals and ticks are always in my head – so when I get two people so comfortable being… Keep reading
At the Beach
This is one of my favorite sessions from last fall. Amazing weather, sunset light, and the beach? Always. Bonus that this was with an old friend who I hadn’t seen since high school, and had a great time meeting his family and catching up! I drove to the Cape for this session, and used my connections to secure a sweet location for them. (I really don’t have connections, just in this one case I did, ha.) The kids all loved playing on the beach and throwing rocks and shells in the water, and walking out on the jetty. What I… Keep reading
Teddy
Ok, “combining” three shorter sessions into one blog post. I’m allowed! Especially if they’re somewhat personal photos – not personal-sensitive, but I’m related to these people too. Dad is my brother, and the older boy is my godson. They were having their second baby last fall, and were waiting to find out the gender. And of course killing me in the process, because I’m a planner, and I’m just plain nosy. So when we got the news that big brother Owen now had a baby brother named Teddy, we were beyond thrilled! (Adorable name, right?) They asked me to shoot… Keep reading
At the Park
I’m going to be honest with you – I have no idea what to title my blog posts. So forgive my boring titles, and just keep scrolling to the photos! 🙂 I met this sweet family at a local park last fall for their family session, and I love their photos. I tend to shoot at one park fairly regularly, so even though I’m partial to sunset light, I can make any time of day work here. This was around 9am I want to say, and we found plenty of spots that worked for us. The kids loved throwing leaves… Keep reading
Sunset
Familiar faces – you know these people. They’ve been on here plenty of times. Mom is my sister, so that makes these three adorable blondies my nieces. They live about 2 miles from us, and I don’t know what I’d do without them around. We went to a new location for their photos this year, and totally lucked out – sunset in this spot is amazing! I can’t wait to go back more this year, if the snow ever melts. It’s what I would call an unpredictable location – you never know what the ground condition will be, and the… Keep reading
At Home
I try to pick a weekend every fall to head back to where I grew up out in Western MA, in the Berkshires. Aside from the obvious perks of visiting home, being with my family, and just relaxing, I will also pick up a session or two for friends who still live out there. Last year I had the great timing of going home on a weekend when this family was also going to be around, so we set up a session! Unfortunately for us, the weather that weekend was beyond awful – forecasted steady, pouring rain. The. Entire. Time…. Keep reading
Kerri & Andrew
I’ve been procrastinating writing this blog post because I don’t have the words needed to do these two justice. I wish I was more eloquent, and knew exactly what to say here to convey the amazingness that is Kerri and Andrew. Instead, you’re stuck with me, so read on. 🙂 Quick history note: Kerri is my cousin. We’ve been close since she was born, same with her brother and sister. Eight year old me tried to carry her toddler self all over creation while my aunt constantly told me to put her down, that Kerri couldn’t learn to walk if… Keep reading
Early Fall
I am on a roll lately, aren’t I? I must admit, I am loving going back through last fall’s sessions, and blogging them. It’s fun to pick out my favorites and remember getting to meet or catch up with everyone. Next up, another repeat client. (Seriously. All of my repeat clients, you are so great. I love seeing you!) This time we met up at their home for their session – mostly focused on the kids, but they wanted a few family shots also. Mom and I chatted a few times before the session, and I had mentioned that I… Keep reading
