Mark & Pam

Mark and Pam were married out in Western MA last fall. As many of you know, I grew up out there, so when Pam contacted me in 2012, I leapt at the chance to photograph another wedding in the beautiful Berkshires. They were having a lovely ceremony at a church in downtown Stockbridge (yes, that Stockbridge made famous by James Taylor’s song, “Sweet Baby James” – a hometown favorite), and their reception was going to be at Tanglewood. I also grew up going to see James Taylor at Tanglewood, so you can see how this is all coming together, and can… Keep reading

Spring Light

I met up with the lovely R family back in May at Larz Anderson Park in Brookline. It was a beautiful spring day, and the flowers on the trees were just starting to bloom – it made for such a pretty backdrop! The camera loved Miss A, who was about 8 months old at the time of our session – and I think the feeling was mutual! Below are just a few of my favorites from their family session. Thank you guys so much for getting in touch with me, it was just wonderful meeting all of you! I hope… Keep reading

Marisha & Mike

Marisha & Mike were married last year (I know, I know! I’ll be blogging all of my weddings from last year very soon, swear!), at Marisha’s parents’ home in Pennsylvania. I was beyond thrilled when she asked me to come down and photograph their wedding, and immediately started making plans, including getting my lovely and talented friend Sarah to come with me. It was a whirlwind weekend of fun, and one of my favorite weddings I’ve ever been part of – as the photographer or guest! Marisha and I met in college, and have stayed in touch over the years (it feels… Keep reading

John

I love this session. Between my amazing clients, their beautiful home, and their love for one another, I could have stayed all day. I met this lovely family at their home in Chestnut Hill once their new little boy was born, and we hung out for the morning. We were able to incorporate both lifestyle images (my fave!) with some sweet and simple posed shots once John fell asleep. Their family dog was so adorable, and laid by my feet for most of the posed photos, making sure I was on my best behavior with their new addition. Big sister… Keep reading

Disney 2014

I’ve blogged before about our family Disney trips, and wanted to get to this long overdue recap of our 2014 trip. Before we had kids, I never expected to be heading to Disney every year – I thought we’d go once or twice, and now we’re hooked! Disney makes it *so easy* to go on vacation there, they have thought of everything. Our kids love going, and it’s probably my favorite week of the year. This year we made a last minute decision to leave a day early to avoid yet another giant winter snowstorm that was due to arrive… Keep reading

Sean

I refuse to admit how overdue this post is, so let’s just move along. 🙂 I promise, he’s not walking yet! Sean is the newest member of one of my lovely and talented photographer friends, Catie of Catie McDade Photography. I went to visit Catie and meet their new little guy a little while back, and we also did a few newborn photos. It was so great to catch up and get to chat about all things photography and baby while we were together. Onward to the photos! Catie and her family semi-recently moved back to her hometown on Cape… Keep reading

Almost Five

For this post, anyway. The little one in mama’s belly has since arrived, so they are officially a family of five now! You will likely recognize some of my favorite people here, who are expecting a new addition to their family! And since they made us wait to find out what babe number three was, I’m making you. 😛 We did some maternity photos back in April at their home. The photos on their bed are some of my favorites ever – these little boys crack me up without fail every time I see them. I used to get hugs… Keep reading

Brothers

I was introduced to this next wonderful family through one of my amazing photographer friends, Tara. (Seriously, go check out her work, she’s so great.) And I’m so glad Tara sent them my way, because they were just so much fun! They were so gracious to welcome me into their home for their session, and we easily chatted the morning away while I worked. These two little boys were a blast to hang out with – I met them on a dreary day back in March, and we just decided to work indoors because of the weather – which ended up working out perfectly. I… Keep reading

At Home

I love home sessions. I tend to do them more in the colder months, when we’re buried under many feet of snow, and every time I do one, I think “I totally have to do more of these!”. Being outside in the beautiful sunshine (especially at sunset) is so appealing, and I love those sessions too – there’s just something relaxing and memorable about capturing my clients in their homes, surrounded by photos of their loved ones, their kids’ favorite toys, and in a place where everyone is comfortable. I met this lovely family back in March at their home… Keep reading

The Girls

Any of you who live near us in New England can attest to the long, LONG winter we’ve just had. Freezing temps, crazy amounts of snow, endless bleak, gray days. We tried to break up our winter with a trip to Florida in early February (I’ll blog that soon also!), but by mid-March, winter depression had set in. We were all stir-crazy and cooped up. Everything available for us to do was “BORING!”, in the words of my 5 year old daughter. We were all craving some warmer weather and fresh air, with none in sight. What to do? My… Keep reading
