As you probably know, I’m new to this “mom of boys” business. Kellan just turned one (I have photos! Promise!), and I’m getting used to the chaos that comes with having boys. The lack of caring about being dirty, the rough and tumble wrestling that happens in my living room (yes, even at one, Kellan can hold his own with his big sister!), and the sweetness. That’s the killer for me. One grin from him, and he can have anything he wants.
Anyway, this post isn’t about me! I did photos for this wonderful family here back in September, during one of my mini-escapes back to my hometown of Pittsfield, MA. I’ve known mom here forever, and I love that we’re still friends. We have a tight-knit group of girls that have remained friends after all these years, and I love these girls like family. I only wish I could see them more often! I met up with them at her parents home, and we did these in their backyard. Another reason I love the Berkshires so much – so much gorgeous scenery!
I keep getting off track. So these boys here. Are such BOYS. Wanted to run, jump off of high walls, play soccer, race each other, get swung up high in the air, tackle each other, play swords – you name it, they did it all during our session. Initially they had sneakers on, but those came off fairly quickly, and they were barefoot for photos (which I love). Have I mentioned it was about 55 and drizzling the entire time? Boys! As long as they’re moving, they’re happy. I love these photos because they tell so much of their personalities. These make my heart happy. Below are just some of my favorites.
Right after this, the boys decided they wanted to be airplanes. So of course we had to oblige!
You knew the boys were going to do this, right? They almost brought mom & dad down to the ground!
I had to get a couple of mom & dad alone at the end, while the boys were running inside for lunch. 🙂
N&J, it was so wonderful catching up with you guys! The boys are so awesome, and I just love you all. We will have to get together again soon!
