Familiar faces – you know these people. They’ve been on here plenty of times. Mom is my sister, so that makes these three adorable blondies my nieces. They live about 2 miles from us, and I don’t know what I’d do without them around. We went to a new location for their photos this year, and totally lucked out – sunset in this spot is amazing! I can’t wait to go back more this year, if the snow ever melts. It’s what I would call an unpredictable location – you never know what the ground condition will be, and the… Keep reading

At Home
I try to pick a weekend every fall to head back to where I grew up out in Western MA, in the Berkshires. Aside from the obvious perks of visiting home, being with my family, and just relaxing, I will also pick up a session or two for friends who still live out there. Last year I had the great timing of going home on a weekend when this family was also going to be around, so we set up a session! Unfortunately for us, the weather that weekend was beyond awful – forecasted steady, pouring rain. The. Entire. Time…. Keep reading
Early Fall
I am on a roll lately, aren’t I? I must admit, I am loving going back through last fall’s sessions, and blogging them. It’s fun to pick out my favorites and remember getting to meet or catch up with everyone. Next up, another repeat client. (Seriously. All of my repeat clients, you are so great. I love seeing you!) This time we met up at their home for their session – mostly focused on the kids, but they wanted a few family shots also. Mom and I chatted a few times before the session, and I had mentioned that I… Keep reading
Cousins
I love these kids. I’ve known them since the twins were newborns, and getting to see them every year is something I always look forward to. They always find amazing locations for us to use for their sessions, this one being no different. We were given permission to use this newly restored barn owned by a friend of theirs, and they also brought the vintage antique truck – it belongs to their grandfather. I love when session “props” hold personal meaning for my clients, it’s a way to truly customize a session and make it completely unique. Now, shooting a session… Keep reading
Ben is One!
You might recognize this adorable family, as they’ve been on this blog before. I’ve been photographing them for the last year (pretend it’s August for me, ok? 🙂 ), and have blogged those sessions. We have done maternity photos, and Ben’s newborn and six month photos, before this session. It’s always so great when I get to see clients again, and catch up with their lives – and see how big the little ones are getting! There’s just such a sense of ease with my repeat clients, and I love that. We met up in Dedham at Dog Park for their… Keep reading
2014: Let’s Shake
Anyone else either obsessed with the new Taylor Swift album, or have a little one who is? My daughter has been walking around the house for a month now singing songs from 1989, and they are constantly stuck in my head. Don’t get me wrong, I love the record too…but mini-me loves it just a smidge (read: a whole lot) more. In the past, I have done a whole week of favorite images from my sessions during that year. Christmas sort of snuck up on me this year, we “missed out” on a whole weekend because Thanksgiving was pretty much… Keep reading
G Family
It’s been almost a month since I’ve blogged…where has the time gone! The past five weeks have been the busiest…maybe ever…for me. So I’m a busy bee over here behind the scenes, getting all of your galleries edited and uploaded. I wanted to take a quick break from editing (quick, I promise!), to share a recent session with you. Well, if August counts as recent. 🙂 I met up with this lovely family at Bourne Farm in Falmouth back in August. They are one of those families where you meet, and just start talking and don’t stop. I felt like… Keep reading
Brothers
I was introduced to this next wonderful family through one of my amazing photographer friends, Tara. (Seriously, go check out her work, she’s so great.) And I’m so glad Tara sent them my way, because they were just so much fun! They were so gracious to welcome me into their home for their session, and we easily chatted the morning away while I worked. These two little boys were a blast to hang out with – I met them on a dreary day back in March, and we just decided to work indoors because of the weather – which ended up working out perfectly. I… Keep reading
The Girls
Any of you who live near us in New England can attest to the long, LONG winter we’ve just had. Freezing temps, crazy amounts of snow, endless bleak, gray days. We tried to break up our winter with a trip to Florida in early February (I’ll blog that soon also!), but by mid-March, winter depression had set in. We were all stir-crazy and cooped up. Everything available for us to do was “BORING!”, in the words of my 5 year old daughter. We were all craving some warmer weather and fresh air, with none in sight. What to do? My… Keep reading
Ben at Six Months
I introduced you all to Ben through his newborn session earlier this year. Well, guess what? He’s already six months old! Actually, he’s seven months now, because I made these photos a little over a month ago. I met Ben and his parents back at their adorable home for his six month session, and Ben happily played, sat on his own, and showed me his fondness for bananas. You all know how much I love catching up with my clients, and this time was no different! Ben’s grown so much since his newborn session, and is such a happy little… Keep reading
