20 Minutes with an Almost Three Year Old

Happy Valentine’s Day! I wanted to post this for two reasons: 1. I wanted to share a few shots from a little Valentine’s Day inspired shoot Lila and I did last week. I “made” a simple little set up for her preschool class Valentines – I don’t normally shoot this way. So this was somewhat of a personal challenge too. 2. I also wanted to share a tiny peek into what goes on in our sessions – Lila’s a bit more of a challenge for me than my regular clients, most likely because I have the camera on her daily,… Keep reading

The M Family | Boylston MA Family Photographer

On this amazing and atypical warm winter day, I wanted to post one of my favorite sessions from last fall. I met this adorable family at the Tower Hill Botanic Gardens in Boylston MA for a sunset family session. The weather was perfect (warm, for October!), and the Gardens were just beautiful. I’d never been to Tower Hill before, and I can not wait to go back! Here are just a few favorites from that evening. These last ones kill me – something about little girls and their dads. SO CUTE. This was the gorgeous view we had at the… Keep reading

Campbell & Boden | Melrose MA Children’s Photographer

This was one of my last sessions before Kellan was born – I HAD to make sure I saw these two last year! I’ve been photographing them since Campbell was one, and I love getting to catch up with them. It is crazy to me that she is in school now! L, it was great catching up with you and the kids again! Thanks so much for having me over!

The K Family | Hollis NH Children’s Photographer

More familiar faces in this post – I swear, I really have the best clients. I LOVE that people come back every year to do new photos. It’s wonderful to catch up with families, and see how the kids have grown. (I also feel like I’ve said this before on here, so forgive me if I sound like a broken record!) The day of our session was another one of those gloomy days we had so many of last fall – chilly, drizzly, soaking wet ground, and what we call “pea soup light” – flat, gray, and dull. We were… Keep reading

2011 Favorites | Personal

So I’m a day late on this post – things got a little crazy here yesterday, and I simply ran out of time! I think that might be a recurring theme this year, as I figure out how to parent 2 kids at once (seriously – how do you parents all do this?! I need to figure out a way to clone myself). This past year did put us to the test in many ways, so I’m really looking forward to a fabulous 2012. I have a feeling it’s going to be an amazing year! I’d like to extend one… Keep reading

2011 Favorites | Children

I had so much fun with all the kids I photographed this year! Many were repeat clients, and were very at ease with me because they already knew me, but even the “first-timers” did a fantastic job being little models for the day. I always love my kids sessions, and leave them wondering how I lucked out by getting into this line of work. Families are on deck for tomorrow, so you’ll be seeing some of these faces again! Thank you to all of my wonderful little friends here, for making 2011 such a fun year for me. 🙂

Summer Revisited | Marshfield MA Childrens Photographer

Oh, my poor neglected blog! I’ve been so busy the past few months, I haven’t had time to keep up on here. So today, I’m going to start with a session I just totally love, from back in August (eep, August!). I thought it was fitting to post this session today, what with all of the gorgeous summer-like weather we’ve been having around here lately! I met up with this wonderful family down in Marshfield, MA for an early morning session on Rexhame Beach. The light was so beautiful, it has had me wishing we lived closer to the beach… Keep reading

My Little Buddy | Ashland MA Childrens Photographer

This little guy has always been one of my favorites (just don’t tell his brother! Who, in all fairness, is my first favorite. :)). I took his newborn photos last October, and he slept – and I mean really SLEPT – for over 3 hours for me. He always gives me the biggest smiles when I see him, and he loves to cuddle. He’s just the sweetest boy! I took these last month, so he’s about 9 months here–still smiling away, and making my job super easy.

Beach Baby | Personal

I haven’t had much of a chance recently to post photos of Lila. It’s been such a busy summer! I had the chance to head down to the Cape for a couple of days this week with her, so we could visit her grandparents (my parents). I rarely get to shoot at the beach, so I HAD to bring my camera to take a few photos. I only brought one lens (my 24-70, for those wondering) – I was traveling alone with her, and I didn’t want to weigh down our bags any more than absolutely necessary! Below are some… Keep reading

Sweet Siblings | MA Children’s Photographer

I met up with this sweet family last month while they were visiting from Alabama. We decided to meet at Capron Park in Attleboro, because it was midway for both of us. Little did I realize just how much there was to do there! Aside from their beautiful lawns and flower gardens, there is a giant playground for the kids, and a ZOO, complete with a splash pad. Talk about fun. (And distracting, ha!) We managed to get a few of the two little ones before their desire to play at the playground overcame them, and then we just went… Keep reading
