It’s October, so you know what that means – fall photo session time! You’ll see plenty of my annual favorite clients on here for the next few posts. This family has been with me for quite some time now. They put their faith in me almost 9 years ago, when I photographed their wedding reception. Then again when their oldest was born – her newborn images are some of my favorites, even to this day. Basically I make up reasons to need to see them each year, because now I am attached. Given that we have done so many sessions… Keep reading

Hazy Park Morning | Brookline Photo Session
I met up with this lovely family early one morning for their Brookline photo session at a popular spot named Larz Anderson Park. This is a well-known favorite location for many photographers, for obvious reasons. The light is amazing pretty much any time of day. There are loads of beautiful places to use, so many that each session can easily look different from the next. I love coming to Larz Anderson because I find a new hidden gem each time I come! We stayed in the lower gardens this time, which are perfect for letting little kids run freely without… Keep reading
J Family | Annual Photo Session
Ah, annual photo session time with my sister’s family. You can find last year’s session here, and I’m sure if you dig far enough, you’ll find the older ones. My nieces are *mostly* used to this by now, so our sessions are pretty quick and painless. I hope! This session is among one of my most favorites, and I have to give credit to my (younger – yes, she’s younger, barely, but she is!) sister and her fantastic job of coordinating outfits. I loooove the colors in their clothes, and I am obsessed with the location we decided on. In typical… Keep reading
The Boys | Fall Photos
Fall photos for these boys. Again. They love it. I’m still not sure how they are all this old already, because in my mind, they are still the newborns I first laid eyes on just last week. It is crazy unfair how quickly time moves when it comes to kids and their milestones. Things happen so fast – all of those cliches about time? They’re true. It’s heart-bursting and wonderful and heart-breaking all at the same time. Oldest brother J once napped on me in the middle of the mall, 2 days before my daughter was born. The middle brother… Keep reading
8 years later | Sunset Family Session
A sunset family session is one of my favorite things, and I’m pretty sure you can tell if you’ve been here before. I have this obsession with the sun, which I never realized until I picked up a camera. (I’m a little crazy.) Speaking of crazy, I’m about to do something I can’t believe I’m doing…sharing a link to my First Ever Newborn Session. This was from eight years ago, so please be gentle, haha! Eight! I’m sharing because this hilarious, wonderful family below belongs to the squishy, sleepy baby in that blog post. She’s 8 now, and has a little sister AND… Keep reading
P Family | Hometown Photo Session
I don’t get to travel back to where I grew up very often. When I do, I LOVE when life-long friends ask for photos while I’m home. There is just nothing like a little hometown photo session to make me appreciate the beautiful area I grew up in! I didn’t explore nearly as much as I should have, so I am trying to make up for lost time with every trip back. The Berkshires are serene and breathtaking and – I swear by this – the air is just different out there. It really is. I always roll the windows… Keep reading
M Family | Ashland MA Family Photographer
September through November here in New England is what we all wait for, right? Fall is high tourist season, high activity season, and my busy season for fall photos. There are apples and pumpkins to be picked, leaves to be raked and jumped in, foliage to admire, crisp mornings, a fond peace out to the humidity – these are my months, my friends. I live for this. Last fall, I was able to meet up with one of my lovely family clients for new fall photos. I had last seen them when their little guy was just a few days old… Keep reading
W Family | Ashland MA Family Photographer
More from my fall photo session archives. 🙂 I met up with this adorable family at one of my favorite spots for their session. Our local reservoir gives me both water and woodsy options, so I love taking clients there for the variety. This location can be slightly temperamental; light plays a large role here. But we lucked out this afternoon, and had stellar backlight through the trees for our time. Hazy sunshine makes me so very happy! The sun sets on the early side here, as we’re in a little valley surrounded by hills and trees, so I have… Keep reading
Fall Photo Sessions | Ashland MA Photographer
Fall has arrived! As have my fall photo sessions. Inquiries are flying in these days, and I’d say my fall season (including holiday card sessions) is about half booked at this time. I also suspect due to the super dry summer, leaves will begin to turn even earlier than predicted this year, if at all. If you’re thinking about a session with me, I recommend reaching out soon. My oldest started second grade this week. Time is the worst, right?? Kids grow up so fast! With school starting back up comes my busy season of fall family photos and holiday… Keep reading
Colette | MA Outdoor Family Photos
You know this family by now, if you’ve been following my blog for any length of time. Their wedding was my first wedding ever, and I’ve since seen them many more times to photograph their family as it grows. We were meeting for this session to commemorate their newest daughter turning one! I’m a fan of outdoor family photos, so we waited until we had a beautiful morning for them. We began their session initially at their home to do some photos in Colette’s room, which you may remember from her newborn or six month photos. (My daughter was watching me… Keep reading
