What’s New?

If you’re reading this, you’ll likely see that things look a bit different around here. 🙂 I decided last year that I wanted to give MeganJane Photography a little face-lift. I loved my old logo and brand, but felt that I was moving in a different direction, and wanted something that reflects my style a bit more. I reached out to Renee over at Ribbons of Red, and after many MANY emails, phone calls, and research (if you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll see the zillions of things I pinned for this), I am super excited to show you my… Keep reading

Another Marathon Monday

This really is the best day to live around here. I did a Marathon Monday post 2 years ago, which you can see here. It was scorching hot this year, almost 90 degrees, which is always a concern for the runners. We’ve gone to the Marathon in shorts & t-shirts (like today) and in winter coats and hats (in 2009) – you’ve gotta love the New England weather. Despite the heat, which I think impacted all the little ones in some way or another (Lila sobbed all afternoon that she missed the runners and wanted to go see them again… Keep reading

20 Minutes with an Almost Three Year Old

Happy Valentine’s Day! I wanted to post this for two reasons: 1. I wanted to share a few shots from a little Valentine’s Day inspired shoot Lila and I did last week. I “made” a simple little set up for her preschool class Valentines – I don’t normally shoot this way. So this was somewhat of a personal challenge too. 2. I also wanted to share a tiny peek into what goes on in our sessions – Lila’s a bit more of a challenge for me than my regular clients, most likely because I have the camera on her daily,… Keep reading

Playroom Photo Wall

Like many other photographers I know, I am terrible at printing personal photos. They all just sit on my computer, on my hard drives, and online, and that’s about it. Many of my clients also purchase the digital files from their photo sessions, and I wonder if they (you!) are printing their photos or not – I hope you are! I vowed this year that I would print more of our personal photos, both for hanging on walls in our home, and in albums. I haven’t gotten to the albums just yet, but I completed a photo wall in the… Keep reading

2011 Favorites | Personal

So I’m a day late on this post – things got a little crazy here yesterday, and I simply ran out of time! I think that might be a recurring theme this year, as I figure out how to parent 2 kids at once (seriously – how do you parents all do this?! I need to figure out a way to clone myself). This past year did put us to the test in many ways, so I’m really looking forward to a fabulous 2012. I have a feeling it’s going to be an amazing year! I’d like to extend one… Keep reading

Happy Everything

I can’t believe it’s already been 7 weeks since Kellan’s arrival (and since my last blog post!). Time sure has flown! I just wanted to say thank you to you all for a wonderful 2011. Without sounding too cliche, I am so grateful every day for having what I think is the best job in the world, and it’s because of you all. Your support and faith in me keep me inspired and loving what I do. I will be blogging all of the sessions from this past fall soon, and I am booking sessions for 2012 now! I’m also… Keep reading

Introducing…

Just a SUPER quick post from me before I get yelled at to go take a nap… 🙂 As I mentioned earlier this year, we were expecting our second baby in early November – and he’s here! Kellan arrived on Friday, 11/4/11, at 10:40pm. He is perfect, and we are slowly settling in to our new family of four at home. As promised, I will start taking sessions again in early 2012. If you are waiting on me for orders, email replies, etc, I will be replying as quickly as I can. Thank you so much for your understanding! Leaving… Keep reading

Beach Baby | Personal

I haven’t had much of a chance recently to post photos of Lila. It’s been such a busy summer! I had the chance to head down to the Cape for a couple of days this week with her, so we could visit her grandparents (my parents). I rarely get to shoot at the beach, so I HAD to bring my camera to take a few photos. I only brought one lens (my 24-70, for those wondering) – I was traveling alone with her, and I didn’t want to weigh down our bags any more than absolutely necessary! Below are some… Keep reading

18|52

Playing in the blinds at Nana & Gumpa’s house. I think this is one of the most “normal” smiles I’ve ever gotten from her.
