Tonight was one of those nights where I didn’t realize I could love having a little girl any more than I already do. My heart is just BURSTING. We got together with some of our favorite friends tonight, for our annual holiday Thanksgiving-slash-Christmas get together. I’ve been friends with these girls since college, and we do this every year. And while things have changed a bit (from late-night debauchery to late afternoon/early dinners so the kids can get to bed at a decent hour), it still feels like home, every time we get together. These are the “Easy Friendships” we… Keep reading

It’s a minor miracle I got this shot. I’ve decided to do an outtakes post from my 52 Weeks Project when all is said and done, and you’ll see. You will see. 🙂 I had to post the color version below it, because I love it just as much, but had to go black & white for the project.

Last week’s shot. I still have to take this week’s, I need to get on that tomorrow! This is an outtake from a mini photo session with my parents. You can kind of guess how cooperative the girls were. 🙂 But I still love this shot because it shows how excited Lila is about her new cousin. She always wants to hold her, sit with her, and touch her. It’s adorable. And probably why her older cousin isn’t all that thrilled with her these days, haha. Kids!

Where has my baby gone?? I showed this image to my husband tonight, and he was FLOORED. She’s such a little girl now! It’s insane. In this shot, she’s playing at a water table at the Acton Kids Discovery Museum last week. She’s still completely anti-my camera, so I got ready before I called her name–hence the sweet expression on her face, and not the back of her head. 🙂

I just realized that this photo looks a lot like last week’s shot, oops! Oh well, I LOVE this, so I’ m keeping it. 🙂 This is Lila with her godmother Kim, one of my most favorite people in the world. She lives in LA, so we don’t see her often. Kim was here for a couple of days this week, because she is in town for a wedding. We all went to a nearby park yesterday before she left so we could take some photos of them together. I might have shed a tear or two when she left,… Keep reading

An outtake from today’s not-so-awesome attempt at getting holiday card photos for our family. Lila was perfectly demonstrating a little thing us photographers like to refer to as Photographer’s Child Syndrome. She is SO OVER my camera. She won’t look at it, or at me if I’m holding it. I even broke out the m&ms in an attempt to bribe her a little–no luck. I’m going to have to try again this week, because I LOVE her little outfit, and I WILL win! 🙂

This has become one of my favorite images I’ve ever taken of Lila. She had no idea I was shooting this, and I was a few feet from her. She’s engrossed in a Halloween card that came for her in the mail today. The card is from a dear friend of ours, who is getting married in two days. TWO DAYS. She has a million things to get organized and finished for Saturday, yet she thought to send Lila a Halloween card, covered in specially bought Sesame Street stickers of the characters in costumes (which were a HUGE hit, by… Keep reading

ALWAYS biting something. It drives me nuts! (Oh yeah, she’s a little tomboy, she LOVES football.)

With this post, I’m officially caught up! Woohoo! I love this shot of Lila…she’s standing in the middle of all of the toys she’s tossed around the living room, holding all of her lovey/blanket things (don’t ask…we have multiple versions of both kinds, just in case), waiting to go down for her nap.

Playing with her current favorite toys, her Legos. What you can’t see in this photo, is that there are hundreds of Legos strewn around her on the floor–they are everywhere!!
