Alrighty, on to blogging the rest of my 2010 sessions! First up, an intimate wedding for two dear friends. They had a very small, private ceremony at the groom's parent's home in Melrose at the end of October, with immediate family only. After the beautiful ceremony, they threw a super fun party for all of their friends and family, to celebrate the event. I was beyond flattered and excited when they asked me to capture the these special moments of the ceremony, as I knew there were only going to be about 10 people there. And I was a little… Keep reading

2010 Favorites | Weddings
2010 was the year I ate my words, in more ways than one. I did a lot of things as a mom I swore I’d never do (listen to Laurie Berkner, watch Barney willingly, ignore the mess, forsake my beloved shopping days for kiddie gym class, you name it). Business-wise, I always swore I’d never shoot weddings. Too much pressure, too long of a day, and giving up one of my two precious days a week with my family. Then I (second) shot one. And was hooked. I loved shooting weddings. Those little moments I loved shooting already–the ones where… Keep reading
Sarah & Derek Sneak Peek | Melrose MA Wedding Photographer
Sarah & Derek were married yesterday in a beautiful private backyard ceremony. I promised them I would put up a couple of sneak peeks before they leave tomorrow for Mexico, so here they are! More to come later, stay tuned. The day couldn’t have been more perfect, I will admit, I shed a few tears. 🙂 Have an amazing time in Mexico, you two, love you both!
Rachel & Brad | Hadley Wedding Photographer
Rachel and Brad secretly got married last year, and no one knew about it. At least, not at first. They’d gone and eloped, only telling their families what they were up to. They decided to plan a reception for July 2010, to celebrate with their families and friends. They chose a beautiful outdoor venue in the small town where Rachel grew up. The Young Men’s Club in Hadley, MA provided the perfect backdrop for the reception, with the mountains in the distance, nearby tobacco farms on either side, and wide green fields surrounding a rustic barn-slash-building, complete with white twinkle… Keep reading
A Romantic (Rainy) Irish Wedding
Last month I had the privilege of second shooting a wedding with Mariah, of Mariah Gale Photography. I’ve looked up to Mariah ever since I got started in photography–her talent is truly wonderful. It’s an honor to call her a friend and (secretly) a mentor (ha, Mariah, now you know!). We took a short drive out to northwestern Connecticut, to capture Molly & PJ’s day. I’m still not sure how we managed to luck out with the weather–I bet it had something to do with the luck of the Irish. It POURED, and I mean poured, the entire way out… Keep reading
