You know this family by now, if you’ve been following my blog for any length of time. Their wedding was my first wedding ever, and I’ve since seen them many more times to photograph their family as it grows. We were meeting for this session to commemorate their newest daughter turning one! I’m a fan of outdoor family photos, so we waited until we had a beautiful morning for them. We began their session initially at their home to do some photos in Colette’s room, which you may remember from her newborn or six month photos. (My daughter was watching me plan this blog post, and hasn’t stopped asking for the hearts on Colette’s wall for her own room!) Once we did that, we headed outside to enjoy the pretty light and warm weather. We walked around a bit and let the girls play and explore – something you’ve heard from me before also. I love letting little kids’ personalities come through in photos, and find the best way to achieve that is to let them do what they’re interested in. So we looked for rocks, threw some leaves at each other, and practiced our animal noises.
Below are just a few of my favorites from their outdoor family session, enjoy!
