I met up with this lovely family early one morning for their Brookline photo session at a popular spot named Larz Anderson Park. This is a well-known favorite location for many photographers, for obvious reasons. The light is amazing pretty much any time of day. There are loads of beautiful places to use, so many that each session can easily look different from the next. I love coming to Larz Anderson because I find a new hidden gem each time I come! We stayed in the lower gardens this time, which are perfect for letting little kids run freely without worrying about traffic.
I first linked up with this family a few years ago, when their oldest was still in his mama’s belly. We connected at her beautiful baby shower, where I photographed all of the sweet details and moments from that event. We had a couple more sessions after the baby shower, including one at Boston College where mom and dad met. When mom contacted me for this session, I admit I shrieked a little when she said that they were adding to their family. Of course I wanted to meet up again!
The sun was bright and strong this morning, and we walked through the little pathways, letting little F throw leaves and make friends with the puppies out for their morning walk. As is typical with my sessions, I like letting the kids guide how we work. I don’t want to push them too much, and I always like to keep things fun and unstructured. As you can see, F had a lot of fun swinging and playing!
