Ah, annual photo session time with my sister’s family. You can find last year’s session here, and I’m sure if you dig far enough, you’ll find the older ones. My nieces are *mostly* used to this by now, so our sessions are pretty quick and painless. I hope! This session is among one of my most favorites, and I have to give credit to my (younger – yes, she’s younger, barely, but she is!) sister and her fantastic job of coordinating outfits. I loooove the colors in their clothes, and I am obsessed with the location we decided on.
In typical “me” fashion, this location sadly doesn’t exist any longer! I always manage to choose locations that are slated for development, or are mowed down to keep the fields healthy, or who even knows at this point. I am unsurprised anymore, although I’m devastated every time! This particular location is now mostly a housing complex. So I am on the hunt again for new fun spots for my clients.
As I mentioned above, Cait did a great job at choosing everyone’s outfits for their session. Cait doesn’t really need me anymore, as she’s used to my spiel and style suggestions. However, my clients often ask me for wardrobe help, and I LOVE helping style my sessions. I have some Pinterest boards for general reference, but I will oftentimes create a new private board with each client, and we can share ideas back and forth. This works better than emailing, because we’re able to see all of the ideas and options in one spot, and can easily add or subtract things as we finalize choices.
I’ll quit rambling now. Below are a few of my favorites from this annual photo session with my sister, brother-in-law, and beloved nieces. Love you all so much!
