Joni contacted me last fall about photographing her & Brian’s wedding. The minute she told me it was going to be in Amherst, MA, I was in. I went to college in Amherst, and LOVE any chance to go back and visit the area. And Amherst in June, when their wedding was? Gorgeous. I was beyond thrilled when they told me they wanted me to do the wedding – more like ecstatic.
Joni & Brian were married at The Red Barn at Hampshire College, under a gorgeous tree outside in the beautiful Western MA air (I promise you, the air is just different out there. It’s better). The day was so sweet and lovely, and turned into quite the dance party at the end!
Below are some of my favorites from Joni & Brian’s gorgeous Western MA wedding at The Red Barn. As always comments, love, and questions – all much appreciated and welcome!
Joni & Brian got ready at the Hotel Northampton, just one floor apart from each other. They did not plan on doing a First Look, so Brian had to sneak past Joni’s windows when leaving for the ceremony so they wouldn’t see each other – it was too cute. I just loved Joni’s short Amsale dress – it looked gorgeous on her!
While I stayed with all of the girls, my fabulous wedding partner Sarah Phillips of Sarah Phillips Photography ran upstairs to grab a few shots of the guys getting ready. She took these two of a super calm groom – the guys always have fun getting ready! 
Meanwhile, just downstairs, Joni was getting dressed herself.

Brian and Joni choreographed the sweetest first dance, to Ingrid Michaelson’s song “You and I“. I’d never heard it before, and now I can’t get enough! My daughter loves it too, she’s always asking me to “play the house song!”.
