I met up with Morgan and her mom for some summer senior photos on THE most humid night. Thank goodness for car a/c! I met Morgan through another senior I photographed, Maddie. I love when my clients send me their friends! Let’s do more of that!
We made sure to take plenty of breaks for hair brushing and cooling off during our session. I took Morgan to my favorite local spots for her session. There is a reason they’re my favorites! I just love the water at the reservoir so much (and since we don’t live near the ocean, that is my only local water option!). And the conservation trail is just SO pretty and has the best views. The wildflowers there are insane this time of year also.
I visit both of these spots when I’m not working too, so I am pretty comfortable with knowing how they work. Like…I knew the reservoir would be low enough at the end of the summer so I could potentially have a client walk out onto the rocks a bit. We can’t do this in the spring when the water is high, I worry too much about falls. If you’ve been on my blog before, you’ll likely recognize this spot. Same for the conservation trail. I know we have light later up there, so we went there second. The large trees surrounding the reservoir mean it gets darker there earlier.
Morgan’s mom and grandmother came along for photos, and it was so great to meet them! They even hiked up the hill with us (I may have stayed in the a/c, not going to lie!). We ended up with a beautiful night!
