Ok, “combining” three shorter sessions into one blog post. I’m allowed! Especially if they’re somewhat personal photos – not personal-sensitive, but I’m related to these people too. Dad is my brother, and the older boy is my godson. They were having their second baby last fall, and were waiting to find out the gender. And of course killing me in the process, because I’m a planner, and I’m just plain nosy. So when we got the news that big brother Owen now had a baby brother named Teddy, we were beyond thrilled! (Adorable name, right?)
They asked me to shoot something I hadn’t really shot before – not in anything more than a last-minute-hey-let-me-grab-my-phone kind of way, anyway. They wanted me to bring my camera and Owen to the hospital, and photograph him meeting Teddy for the first time. Um, YES. So part 1 of this post is Owen meeting Teddy at the hospital, and these are some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken. I might be biased, but I’m ok with that. Part 2 are some of Teddy’s newborn photos. We only did a few because they were in the middle of moving (yes, timing, right??). Part 3 are their fall outdoorsy photos slash holiday card photos. The light was perfect that morning, and we shot in full sun at 10am. Ready? Make sure you go to the end, to see my nephew’s true personality, haha.
This was how our family photo time ended – he totally did this on purpose to let me know that he was done. I love him.
